After I did the post on the leading men of Taiwan entertainment (here), it’s only fitting I devote the same attention to showcasing the leading ladies who spark and sizzle with those guys. To be frank, my personal opinion is that the number of good actresses in Taiwan is significantly lower than the number of good actors. But I’ve watched … Continue reading →
I really love the Giordano 2011 Spring ad campaign, and its not just because Jung Woo Sung is in it. I love the playful naturalness of the shots and the concept, which really dovetails with the clothing basics that Giordano is known for. Simple clothes for hanging out with friends. Now if only I could get some friends like Jung … Continue reading →
Has it been almost two years since Black & White hit the airwaves and redefined the scope and possibilities of TW-dramas? B&W rewrote the landscape of idol dramas and family fare littering the TW-drama scene, and brought a breath of action and fresh air to viewers. It’s quite possibly my favorite TW-drama ever, featuring one of the best bromances in … Continue reading →
My Pi was in Korea last week and I was clearly living under a rock emblazened with the initials S and H because I didn’t register the event until late last night when my Pi radar pinged and asked me to check on his whereabouts. Yamapi (Yamashita Tomohisa) made a quick trip to Korea to perform on MNet Countdown and … Continue reading →
I don’t think any drama is perfect, and it needn’t be, as long as it delivers exactly what a viewer wants from it. Sunny Happiness has plenty of faults, even if my constant squealing over it makes it seem like its some perfect drama. But when you watch SH, what you take away from each episode is never the little … Continue reading →
I am the Sunny Happiness fairy, oh yes I am. Now that you’ve all got the download links for the episodes, now it’s time for some musical accompaniment. I love the OST for SH, and I’ve got all the songs ready for you to enjoy.
Continue reading →Jang Geun Seok is working hard for the money, and definitely giving fans what they want. After playing musicians in project after project, Jang Geun Seok has officially and finally become one in real life. His first single “Let Me Cry” dropped yesterday on the radio waves in Japan, and I must say that it’s a hit. It’s a rock … Continue reading →
When a project gets lodged in development hell, months and years go by without any updates. If by the grace of drama gods it gets resurrected, suddenly the flood gates burst and everything shifts into power gear. The TW-drama adaptation of the popular manga Skip Beat, which has been languishing for 2 years (and multiple lead actor changes), has finally gotten … Continue reading →
Fess up. Who is a Sunny Happiness addict? Plenty of you have outed yourselves already in various SH posts, but here is your chance to meet fellow addicts. As a treatment plan, I’m bringing the much requested download links for SH episodes. The links for the first 3 episodes are for the TW-airing, and the links for the rest are for the … Continue reading →
I’ve been half-heartedly following Midas (damn you, SH-addiction!), which is good enough, I guess. I dunno, it’s not bad, but it’s not good to the point that I feel any desire to watch it, except out of my Jang Hyuk love and loyalty covenant. Currently, the only character who I find interesting and want to see more of is No … Continue reading →
The K-movie adaptation of the manga Kimi wa Petto (You’re My Pet) is officially underway, as lead actors Kim Ha Neul and Jang Geun Seok hit the press conference in Japan to kick off the movie. Currently the movie is in the pre-production phase, but expect filming to commence in the Spring, and the movie to hit the theaters by … Continue reading →
Since I started blogging, this is the first time this has happened. I’ve had years and decades to find actors who I like, and I’ve pretty much got my collection stashed around in a happy place. I rarely add new likes to the list, and definitely I have never ever (ever) fallen this fast and this hard for an actor … Continue reading →
Sunny Happiness has this magical ability to make me happy. No joke, I literally smile and chuckle as I am recapping, even though I know exactly what is going to happen. I’m using this as a chance to enjoy the moments again without the stress of worrying about what is going to occur. It’s ridiculous how easy this drama is … Continue reading →
