I think viewers are being either honest or stingy with their votes but the latest Douban ratings to come out for additional late winter/spring 2024 C-dramas are all in the 6 range. Modern romance Best Choice Ever starring Yang Zi and Xu Kai came in with 6.4 and female empowerment period C-drama Blossoms in Adversity with Zhang Jing Yi and … Continue reading →
Oh what a great surprise! This drama was announced two years ago and I’ve long since given up on airing or news and now we get the first stills woo hoo. Is It Coincidence starring Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeob dropped two official drama stills and both are just so cute, wholesome yet the chemistry between the two … Continue reading →
So this drama was filmed a few years ago and hasn’t been intentionally shelved but has taken longer than usual to air. Xianxia C-drama A Moment But Forever is on deck for iQiyi which has submitted the final cut for airing approval recently. It was originally a 31-episode drama and frankly like a B-grade project due to female lead Tang … Continue reading →

So Cannes Film Festival is undoubtedly the most famous and prestigious international festival and it’s coming next month in May with the film selections in the various categories announced last week. I feel like C-netizens come up with stuff all the time for top actress Dilraba Dilmurat and it’s mostly harmless and kinda charming. There was her “angel squat” a few months ago and now it’s her “manga legs”. Reba was attending the press conference for variety show where she donned a high school uniform and since then rocketed to the … Continue reading →

It’s been a good streak of drama and movie successes for so many of my faves – Song Joong Ki with Vincenzo then Reborn Rich, Lee Do Hyun in The Glory, The Good Bad Mother, and now Exhuma, and of course Kim Soo Hyun with Queen of Tears. But soon it’s the time for the cutest of them all Park … Continue reading →

So this is totally not on Luo Yun Xi and honestly I’m impressed with how he manages to pull this off. Filming wrapped last week for C-drama Shui Long Yin with him as the male lead, and all the BTS filming pictures to come out of the set was just one ornate costume and hair piece after another on male … Continue reading →
So modern family, work, and romance C-drama Best Choice Ever has been airing for two weeks and would be considered okay with ratings at best. Leads Yang Zi and Xu Kai are in a group drama that spends more time on family and work stuff so those looking for a romance-centric offering this is not it. I tried but got … Continue reading →
