So there is melon going around is the second major drama casting I’ve seen these two stars linked to, kinda feels like C-ent is determined to make it happen. Earlier this year Bai Lu and Yang Yang was rumored to star in Northward Bound but that didn’t pan out. Now there is talk that the two have been cast in … Continue reading →
So the biggest summer 2023 C-drama is now Lost You Forever, and I don’t see anything else on the horizon as this was the last of the big budget big star big hype C-dramas for this summer season to premiere after Till the End of the Moon, Back From the Brink, The Longest Promise, Snow Eagle Lord, Hidden Love, Fireworks … Continue reading →
It’s a testament to how popular Park Seo Joon is in Japan that he gets his own cover and pictorial in a Japanese magazine. I believe the drama that rocketed him to superstardom with the Japanese fans was Why Secretary Kim and it helped he followed that up with Itaewon Class which cemented it for him there. This month he’s … Continue reading →
Gosh these two are just so earnest and adorable and I just want to squish them together. tvN drama My Lovely Liar released official behind-the-scenes new stills of leads Kim So Hyun and Minhyun as they film the drama which is premiering next week. Tencent is going craaaaazy with promoting and supporting Lost You Forever. There weren’t much promos prior to the close to premiere date confirmation of the airing on July 24th then the platform went into overdrive. The official drama weibo has been on fire since premiere with so many posts, goodies, BTS, and leaning into every buzzy response to the drama, … Continue reading →
So my weekend dramas for the last few weekends have been prestige with Revenant then thoughtful meaning of life contemplation with See You in My 19th Life and finally stuff my face with stupid empty calories addiction that is Durian’s Affair (Lady Durian). The TV Chosun fantasy makjang drama is best known for coming from the wacko brain of screenwriter … Continue reading →
It’s like this drama is being assembled with precision crafting for maximum awards season accolades and nothing wrong with that. The reviews are excellent and the buzz is record topping, and with top liuliang Yang Zi as the female lead the continued online interest will only continue even if the drama story peters out. WHICH IT WON’T. Haha, I can guarantee it as … Continue reading →
I feel like this stuff would be fine maybe even 10 years ago, 20 years ago definitely, but in this day and age when bodily autonomy is openly expected it’s just odd how this drama leans against it. jTBC drama Behind Your Touch has Han Ji Min playing a vet who can read minds when she touches the behind of … Continue reading →
So I found the cheesy aspect of Legend of Anle strangely watchable and entertaining at the very beginning, the first few episodes, but alas that charm is so wafer thin that this drama starts sinking under the weight of all its legitimately pointed out problems. I’m nope-ing out of this one at this point after finding myself FF-ing every episode … Continue reading →
We’re a week out from the premiere of new tvN drama My Lovely Liar which will be taking over the Mon-Tues time slot at the end of July. Well this is great news for Tencent and the production/cast of period xianxia C-drama Lost You Forever that it’s a hit out of the gate in terms of buzz and views. Even better are the first impression commentary from viewers is near universally positive and THAT’S BECAUSE THIS DRAMA IS EVERYTHING I CAN HOPE FOR. Sorry for yelling but folks … Continue reading →
