So this official promo drop came from nowhere so I didn’t see it until a few days later but no fret here it is, the first posters and stills for the upcoming xianxia C-drama The Last Immortal (Hidden Gods). Starring Zhao Lu Si and Wang An Yu, the drama is a sequel of sorts to Ancient Love Poetry which starred … Continue reading →
Now midway through airing, tvN weekend rom-com Crash Course on Romance is a winner through and through. It’s just a good drama, but from a long time K-drama viewer I think the drama is made better thanks to Jung Kyung Ho‘s sparkling performance as the beta male lead with boatloads of emotional hangups but also could be a better “romance” … Continue reading →
Paris in winter is definitely dreamy especially for the visitor that can pick the best stuff for a short curated sojourn. K-actress Song Hye Kyo was in the city recently and shared on her Instagram normal and rather casual pictures of her time in the city. She’s with friends, enjoying French food, and of course just out and about to … Continue reading →
I have high hopes for tvN‘s next Mon-Tues drama, the sageuk Our Blooming Youth, simply with the soon to end The Interest of Love I’ll need another weekday drama to follow along with. The routine is comforting for me as it marks the passage of time with a story that develops in a way I want to find out how … Continue reading →
It’s a slow news week in C-ent but anything to do with C-actor Wang Yibo gets netizens attention. This week a popular and frequent C-ent gossiper claimed that Wang Yibo was in a some (more than friends) relationship with an older female top star and that it was an open secret in the industry. She takes good care of him … Continue reading →
It’s the second to last week airing of The Interest of Love, with episodes 13 and 14 like expecting to watch a horror movie through hands over the eyes but with tiny slits to peek through. Thankfully it wasn’t that painful and actually had a lot of breakthroughs. Mi Kyung finally accepted how toxic her rich family was and how … Continue reading →
If I haven’t watched Jung Kyung Ho stretch his acting (and genre) chops so much in his nearly two decade long career I would absolutely believe that he is always acting as himself, the perfect beta male lead. It started with Smile, You as his breakout drama and has continued off and on until now it’s back in the spotlight … Continue reading →
The streaming platforms in South Korea continue to get into the drama production line and Wavve is prepping a new thriller drama called Look at Me. In talks for the leads are Lee Min Ki and Han Ji Hyun. The story is about a famous plastic surgeon who gets caught up in a major crime investigation and spirals into an … Continue reading →
I’ve long since put Love by Law (The Law Cafe) in the rear view mirror and neither leads Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young have come out worse for wear with, I just chalk it up to wrong roles in a lackluster story. I’m ready for whatever each has in store for 2023 and Lee Se Young has just … Continue reading →
I totally believe celebs should be afforded their privacy when they are off the clock away from official events but who hasn’t glimpsed a star in the wild and snapped a secret picture to keep. The issue with social media is those once secret pictures from pre-digital days are now easy to share and it’s unrealistic for any public figure … Continue reading →
I thought there were a lot of poised elements in the first half of The Glory, namely characters and plot elements whether flashback or present that may seen random or we don’t pay much attention to but will be super important in the second half. I find Lee Do Hyun‘s character like that, he seemed like he was in his … Continue reading →
Okay, I just want an even smexier and hotter version of Lighter and Princess and this C-drama is guaranteed to make my day/month/year. Filming has commenced for modern C-drama Into the Storm based on a popular same name novel and starring buzzy stars Wu Lei and Zhao Jin Mai. A chunk of the story takes place overseas and the production … Continue reading →
K-actress Kim Yoo Jung has been with agency Awesome Ent since 2020 after doing her last project under Sidus HQ which was Backstreet Rookie. Her first drama Lovers of the Red Sky under awesome looked good on paper but fell apart in execution but it’s still early yet. The agency has been doing a really strong job of promoting her … Continue reading →
