I need to thank Bae Doo Na for growing out her hair for the second season of hit drama Secret Forest (Stranger). For Secret Forest 2 she has long hair so it’s easy to search for stills and news and determine if its from the first or second season. Most of the cast is back along with Bae Doo Na … Continue reading →
The simple white t-shirt is problematic for me, too thin and it’s see through and too thick it looks chunky. That sucks because the white t-shirt and denim shorts look perfectly encapsulates summer chic. Kim So Hyun totally pulls it off in her latest clothing CF modeling a white t-shirt with an orange slice in the middle but randomly the … Continue reading →
There are two music themed dramas line up and Do You Like Brahms is the second one I’m covering in the same week after Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol. The two won’t go head to head as that drama airs on KBS Wed-Thurs while Brahms will return the SBS Mon-Tues time slot back to dramas after the network took … Continue reading →
This past weekend it was a two-fer for me, with an emotional meal on the new episodes of It’s Okay to Not be Okay and then snacking as late night treat the OCN mystery parallel worlds drama Train. The first two episodes got 1.367% and 1.443% for the cable network best known for procedurals and gritty fare and Train continues … Continue reading →
This red carpet for the just held 2020 Taipei Film Awards feels like a wash, I mostly hated the outfits but enjoyed actually seeing some because it’s pretty unexpected. Like, Joanne Tseng‘s lace pantsuit is on par with historical epic fails in every way from cut to fit to sheer fugliness. I don’t know why Ariel Lin decided to come … Continue reading →
It’s midpoint time for tvN Sat-Sun drama It’s Okay to Not be Okay and at this point a viewer is either in or out. I watched with a giant grin on my face through the entirety of episode 8, it was that good. From Moon Young not wanting a mushroom haircut from Kang Tae, to Daniel Choi‘s purposely smarmy and … Continue reading →
Movie making is adapting to the reality of COVID-19, still a disruption and danger to the world 8 months into the pandemic. Song Joong Ki‘s movie Bogota cut short its location shoot in Colombia in March and will not resume filming until 2021. The production team for upcoming thriller movie Negotiation with Hyun Bin and Hwang Jung Min will be … Continue reading →
I took my time to write about this drama because goodness the title just doesn’t jibe for me. Clearly I’m not musically inclined otherwise I would be writing about K-pop, so being linguistically inclined makes me near tone deaf and the upcoming KBS Wed-Thurs drama is called Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol which means nothing to me but … Continue reading →
Each episode of It’s Okay to Not be Okay surprises me, catches me off guard much like Moon Young’s striking utterances and the unfolding truths about what the past was for these main characters. Normally I stan the romance above all else but here I want these characters to heal first because they can’t really sustain a healthy relationship otherwise. … Continue reading →
It’s been wild in 2020 so far but some things are consistent. K-movies are still being released and I can still expect the same beautiful and expected pictorials from stars promoting said movies. It’s a given that K-movies are willing to push the envelope in the actual content but never in the promotional materials. Case in point Park Shin Hye … Continue reading →
The comparatively smaller scale zombie movie #Alive did well in the box office last month when it premiered thanks to a dearth of new movies and movie going in the preceding few months. Plus a zombie thriller feels just like the escapist entertainment moviegoers would be keen on, staying home due to COVID-19 doesn’t look so bad compared to a … Continue reading →
Boy does the title of this drama hit on every partnering nerve. I’m sure there are true diehard romantics out there but the thought that Love is Annoying But I Hate Being Lonely driving people to pair up is probably a vast majority. MBC every1 is premiering this August 11th an 1-episode a week drama with Ji Hyun Woo and … Continue reading →
I’m so charmed by the dark whimsy of It’s Okay to Not be Okay and how it weaves both the fairy tales of cultural significance such as the Red Dancing Shoes and Bluebeard as well as female lead Go Moon Young’s own stories into the narrative. The newest stills are from the epilogue of episode 6 and show the dark … Continue reading →
