Whenever I see new stills and previews for upcoming tvN drama Flower of Evil I keep wanting to yell “but what about the child(ren)?” Lol, that’s the catchphrase for the morality police but here I do think that the whole scenario of Daddy Lee Jun Ki being a formerly bad/evil person living a pretend life to Mommy Moon Chae Won … Continue reading →
I’m so glad his hair grew out for this PR event because the Itaewon Class buzz cut does not project the image of a nice hardworking office worker average joe type. That’s the exact image the South Korean government was going for when it selected Park Seo Joon along with former anchorwoman Park Sung Young as the spokespersons for the … Continue reading →
This is a huge news story in South Korea and sometimes reality as as dramatic as fiction. The current Mayor of Seoul Park Won Soon was found dead today after what was a wild series of events. His daughter reported him missing after he left what she described as a voicemail message that sounded like a will. Over 600 police … Continue reading →
The future is constantly used as a subject matter of sci-fi shows and movies because there is much to mine in the unknown, and the known about how we think our society will evolve. The drama comes in projecting how humans will adapt and change with the evolution of technology and life spans and world expansion/contraction. Upcoming anthology drama series … Continue reading →
Time and world circumstances really change so much. My first thoughts are: dayum Kai Ko grew up and got like a million times better looking and Ariel Lin looks exactly the same 6 years later like she’s frozen in time. The boxing friendship and romance movie Achoo (the sound of sneezing) which was scheduled for release in 2014 is finally … Continue reading →
I was wondering why tvN was starting to release teaser promos for upcoming Mon-Tues drama The Moment (Record of Youth) since is was slated to premiere in September and its predecessor drama Birthcare Center wasn’t even getting any promos. Turns out Birthcare Center is being delayed until November ostensibly to better produce the drama, hahahaha not sure if it’s aligned … Continue reading →
There is so much back and forth these days whether one likes or doesn’t like a drama. It’s rather exhausting and I miss the days of more constructive and fun commentary. Artistic output is subjective and on that subjective note I love the illustrations and animation in currently airing tvN drama It’s Okay to Not be Okay. The artist is … Continue reading →
K-actor Nam Joo Hyuk will next be seen on the small screen in the K-drama Start Up with Suzy and he’s been busy filming through Spring and now Summer with a scheduled August 2020 premiere date. This week he’s in the news attending a coffee brand event and also sharing a photo shoot for Christian Dior where he’s just as … Continue reading →
The boy is off to the army, woo hoo! But not before he spends one last chill session with his King, which of course must happen as he’s the Unbreakable Sword. Those who watched recently concluded SBS drama The King: Eternal Monarch will love the references and these pictures, with Woo Do Hwan all shaven and hanging out with his … Continue reading →
This weekend the train leaves the station and let’s get see what round two of the parallel worlds K-drama executes the tricky subject matter. OCN thriller Train takes over the Sat-Sun time slot this Saturday with Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung Soo Jin do double duty as they investigate a serial killer through two different worlds. Yoon Shi Yoon is … Continue reading →
I’ll consider this a great step for both and a long overdue expansion for K-actors and actresses. There have been Korean stars who have transitioned to Hollywood in some capacity like Bae Doo Na and Lee Byung Hun but by and large it’s few and far between. Time to restart that train and none better for the current buzz meter … Continue reading →
The teaser is out for upcoming tvN drama The Moment (Record of Youth) and it totally reminds me of Heartstrings many many years ago but swapping the acting/modeling for the music. Park Bo Gum and Park So Dam look adorable together in their one scene in the teaser and separately they also have such bright positive energy that leaps from … Continue reading →
Okay, the title may be a bit misleading because not every handsome/charming Korean actor and idol could be considered beautiful if they were turned into women versions. The popular face changing app that swaps genders is all the rage last month and while some stars have actual female dopplegangers, namely V from BTS looks just like Suzy and Cha Eun … Continue reading →
