This feels like a new wedding pictorial I don’t recall seeing before. TW-stars Summer Meng and Mickey Huang registered their marriage last month legally, really low key since it’s social distancing and all, not to mention it’s also a trend for TW-ent couples to register their marriage and either forgo a ceremony or hold it much later. Despite not having … Continue reading →
Cable network tvN has found its leads for upcoming sci-fi thriller K-drama LUCA, which stands for Last Universal Common Ancestor which is an evolutionary theory. The drama was first offered to Ji Chang Wook who declined and is instead filming Convenience Store Morning Star. Now we have both the male and female leads confirmed and it’s Kim Rae Won paired … Continue reading →
There are so many starts and stops right now in K-movie land thanks to COVID-19. Some movies had to halt filming, others delayed start, and even more movies were supposed to premiere in February and March and have been delayed. A movie further out in the horizon has my attention thanks to the cast: Honey Lee will be the female … Continue reading →
K-actress Su Ae has been the face of the webtoon version of Remarried Empress (originally a web novel) so the upcoming K-drama adaptation will definitely have her name in the mix. But her age makes the entire series about ten years older than in the original story and I would rather the cast be younger because everyone is so emotionally … Continue reading →
Next week is the arrival of KBS Mon-Tues reincarnation romance thriller drama Born Again, starring Jang Ki Yong, Jin Se Yeon, and Lee Soo Hyuk. I’m actually quite interested in this drama, the concept has plenty of angst to milk and it’s all coming from male lead Jang Ki Yong based on how beaten down but still smexy he looks … Continue reading →
If you had told me two years ago when I was hooked on horror thriller drama The Guest that leading lady Jung Eun Chae would one day impress me with her glamorous side I would have laughed you off. She was so endearing as the crass and grungy cop investigating a series of supernatural homicides, I wanted to see her … Continue reading →
Life goes on relatively normally in South Korea which has gotten the COVID-19 spread under control it seems. That means shops and markets are business as usual which includes fresh and wet markets where Asian shoppers prefer to buy meats and seafood. K-actor Ryu Jun Yeol shared a SNS post of a fresh fish he bought where he brought his … Continue reading →
The cast keeps getting bigger and all it does is add yet another top star. The K-movie Emergency Declaration has a new maknae in the form of Im Shi Wan, the young actor has signed on for the movie with the confirmed cast of Song Kang Ho, Lee Byung Heon, Jeon Do Yeon, and Kim Nam Gil. Once things normalize … Continue reading →
I feel like Lee Min Ho just keeps getting richer and more powerful on the small screen, lol. One would have thought his Gu Jun Pyo in Boys Before Flowers was Richie Rich to the max already but then he becomes the One Who Wears the Crown as Kim Tan in Heirs that someone is even richer. And now he’s … Continue reading →
I am…..utterly at loss for commentary. I do not know why this drama is garnering so many viewers not because I think it’s bad but because even great dramas haven’t gotten this type of traction this quickly. jTBC Fri-Sat drama The World of the Married just buried it’s Cinderella ratings predecessor Itaewon Class, already a total winner, in the wake. … Continue reading →
This is like the great K-drama download shutdown of 2012 starting with Megaupload, which wasn’t even related to K-dramas but due to the shut down of download sites prompted by US copyright holders of movies, TV shows, and songs. It just got a lot harder to find your favorite K-drama, TW-drama, J-dorama C-drama, and definitely US show to watch as … Continue reading →
One’s age will determine if you now who Shim Eun Ha is. It’s either a who? or a oh what a legendary beauty response. Shim Eun Ha was South Korea’s first modern era top beauty, her popularity was number 1 for a decade before she abruptly retired in 2001 when she got married, thereby missing being there for the start … Continue reading →
Guess karma caught up to the production team of KBS drama School 2020, with so much tumult this ultimately isn’t a surprise. K-ent is reporting that the production for upcoming School 2020 has fallen through, which means the drama as we’ve heard won’t be made. Starring male lead Kim Yo Han, transitioning quickly from idol winner of Produce X 101 … Continue reading →
