Where do I sign up and how quickly can this drama be injected into my drama loving veins is all I care about once I heard the names attached to star. The PD of Why Secretary Kim is prepping his next drama a rom-com adapted from a webtoon called Touch Your Heart (Touched By Honesty or Deliver the Truth) which … Continue reading →
This is not my favorite hair look for Lee Jong Seok but it definitely confirms the trend started by Park Bo Gum earlier in 2018 that K-ent male stars are going longer and fuller. Lee Jong Seok was in Hawaii recently with BFF Kim Woo Bin for a much needed getaway but it was back to work as he held … Continue reading →
K-drama posters are hit and miss and it’s even rarer for one to really hit a home run even vis-a-vis a bigger budget and higher profile film version. The drama poster for the remake of The Beauty Inside is just A++, everything is done right and far outshines the movie version from three years ago. The drama poster has female … Continue reading →
It didn’t take much, a mere 5-minute long teaser for upcoming tvN sageuk romance 100 Days My Prince (Dear Husband of 100 Days) and I’m in total and complete love. The drama premieres this Monday and stars D.O. (Do Kyung Soo) in his first major headlining role opposite established young actress Nam Ji Hyun who has as strong a track … Continue reading →
There will be plenty of fan sightings of the cast and crew filming the next SBS Mon-Tues drama Fox Star Bride thanks to the drama being set in Incheon airport. There are already plenty of fan snapped pictures of leads Lee Je Hoon and Chae Soo Bin at the aiport, with the production even putting up signs explaining the drama … Continue reading →
I haven’t been this addicted to a K-drama in awhile and couldn’t have found a more satisfying watch than currently airing tvN Wed-Thurs drama Knowing Wife (Familiar Wife). Leads Ji Sung and Han Ji Min have crafted characters whose fate and happiness I’m invested in, even when there are flaws and mistakes made and the collateral damage makes me wish … Continue reading →
K-actor Yoo Ah In may court or elicit controversy but as an actor he’s been fairly impeccable in role selection across movies and dramas. If his latest movie Burning breaks out next year it may be thanks to its selection by South Korea to represent the country as the entry for Best Foreign Language Picture award at the 2019 Oscars. … Continue reading →
It was the 30th anniversary of Elle magazine’s annual Style Night and the usual bevy of C-stars were in attendance with a couple of new faces that got famous just this summer. Yang Mi, Ni Ni, Tang Yan and Angelababy were the familiar attendees all decked out in formal gowns of to varying degrees of success, I think the ladies … Continue reading →
The summer 2018 J-doramas are done or nearly done with airing and there were three big name cast ones caught my eye. Ueno Juri was back with the J-remake of Good Doctor and Ishihara Satomi was being her most fabulous self with Takane no Hana (English title Born to be a Flower), but the ratings winner ended up being Ayase … Continue reading →
I love me some super girly fashions on occasion but the Mulberry event in Seoul this week was frilly, ruched, and puffed to excess. Quite a few well known actresses and idols were in attendance and this time the idols out dressed the actresses in terms of going for the more understated of the brands looks. Rose and Lisa of … Continue reading →
What happens when a beloved bastion of male visual perfection is tweaked to show us that even the worst hair fallacies cannot be overcome. C-ent is rolling in laughter over a recently released series of photoshops turning famous Korean and Chinese actors into bald comb over cringefests. I feel bad for men losing their hair but if that happens just … Continue reading →
Whether the drama world is deserving or not, we finally have a near universally beloved breakout star in 2018 in the form of the dynamic and still very young and inexperienced Dylan Wang (Wang He Di). I’ll leave it to the fans of Hana Yori Dango drama adaptations to fight out who broke out the biggest – Dylan in Meteor … Continue reading →
The posters and preview is out for fall 2018 K-movie Rampant (Outbreak) which takes the zombie genre and deposits it into Joseon Korea and hopefully this genre still has box office legs because I totally want it to be good for my bae Hyun Bin. He plays an exiled prince who returns from China to his country Joseon and finds … Continue reading →
