So excited, I’m so so excited for year end tvN fantasy drama Goblin even if tempering my expectations is the wiser move. The first teasers are out even though the drama isn’t arriving until December, but these are definitely just teasers as it barely offers a glimpse of Gong Yoo as the titular Goblin of the tale. What it does … Continue reading →
It feels serendipitous that I came across oldie but goodie pictures of Ji Sung just as news broke that he was considering a new drama. I’ll take this as a good sign from above. MBC‘s early 2017 sageuk Rebel Hong Gil Dong (formerly known as Traitor Hong Gil Dong) is courting Ji Sung for the titular role of Hong Gil … Continue reading →
The easiest part in writing about Moon Geun Young‘s first acting project of 2016 is not needing to provide a story synopsis. Who doesn’t know Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, even if younger generations may be more familiar with the punk stylized telling of it with the Romeo+Juliet movie. This new adaptation will unfold on the stage so only those lucky … Continue reading →
The second single is out for Rainie Yang‘s latest album Traces of Time in Love, and it’s so much win I don’t even know where to start. It’s an emotional ballad of the kind that Rainie croons rather than belts down, firm in feeling with a soft touch. The song “Audience” is about love, of course, and for the MV … Continue reading →
There is a degree of reassuring pleasure watching Park Bo Gum act, it’s been that way since I first laid eyes on him as the teenage Lee Seo Jin in Wonderful Life, and since then he’s only confirmed that my early opinion was warranted. He’s currently slaying ratings and drama audiences alike in currently airing KBS Mon-Tues drama Moonlight Drawn … Continue reading →
This is a news so out of left field the left fielder is still in the locker room getting suited up. Hallyu superstar actor Kim Soo Hyun has announced that he’s turning in his application to become a professional bowler. Unlike other professional sports, my understanding is that professional bowling isn’t a full time occupation from both a training and … Continue reading →
Winning the biggest award of her acting career must feel triply sweet right now for TW-actress Alice Ke. She was the only one of the nominated acting trio of leads in Marry Me or Not to walk away with a win at last weekend’s Golden Bell Awards. Roy Qiu lost both his acting categories and Joanne Tseng also didn’t manage … Continue reading →
This is too blatant and ballsy in an adorable way not to promote and share. The ladies of Korean ballad duo Davichi are releasing their sixth EP this month and found super popular K-actor Lee Jong Seok to be their leading man in the MV for their second single “From Giving Love to Receiving Love”. Beyond saying “I approve!”, I am … Continue reading →
Whatever fountain of youth and happiness former Miss Korea winner and established veteran actress Kim Sung Ryung is bathing in, she should bottle and sell immediately to better the world. Fifty year old (forever whut?) Kim Sung Ryung was spotted at the airport recently with her adorable younger son who looks the epitome of well mannered and amiable rather than surly … Continue reading →
I have such an unhealthy drama viewer crush on Song Yoon Ah right now, and it’s been years since the Hotelier days. She wasn’t even my female lead crush in On Air, for whatever reason I liked Kim Ha Neul better there even if I liked Song Yoon Ah and Park Yong Ha‘s coupling more. I’m sure Song Yoon Ah … Continue reading →
The VIP movie premiere for the Yoo Hae Jin and Lee Joon identity swapping movie Luck-Key is a quite a treat for the adoring fans in attendance as many big names showed up. My favorite squee moment was seeing Kim Sun Ah at the same event as her two most iconic drama male leads, Hyun Bin from My Name is … Continue reading →
I’m getting super excited that K-actor Kang Dong Won has a new movie coming out next month, but for reasons unrelated to being his fan or being interested in said movie. I’m just jonesing to check out what he’s going to wear on the press tour! Earlier this year he was the most entertaining presence promoting A Violent Prosecutor, pushing … Continue reading →
C-actress Liu Shi Shi is one of those rare beauties who look equally stunning in modern or Chinese period garb. She even makes fantasy wuxia attire look pretty, what with the mashup of historical and sci-fi elements. Her recent pictorials have been going the sleek or edgier route, all of which I loved, but for her upcoming spread in a … Continue reading →
