Oooooh, I so love Park Shin Hye‘s head to toe look at Incheon airport today leaving South Korea for Hong Kong to attend a Swarovski event as she reps the brand. She looks relatively comfortable with a black tunic dress paired with thigh high soft suede stiletto boots and a leather biker coat with sherpa lining. The hair is casually feminine … Continue reading →
I’m so in love with tvN Wed-Thurs drama Encounter (Boyfriend) and it’s telling how I really didn’t pay too much attention to the details pre-premiere that I totally missed narrative cues. The first posters for the drama show the leads Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum in Cuba, she’s leaning on his shoulder napping, and solo posters with each … Continue reading →
The temperature majorly dipped in Beijing and despite the real and also politically frigid temperatures roaring through C-ent it appeared nearly all the stars were out to attend the 17th annual China Film Huaobiao Awards. The ladies walked the red carpet in a flurry of beautiful and diverse gowns despite the near freezing temps, kudos to the commitment to their … Continue reading →
I’m not quite sure about this pairing but both are coming off successful last dramas so I’ll be cautiously optimistic for the time being. KBS has offered the lead roles for its mid-2019 romance K-drama Only One Love to Shin Hye Sun and L (Kim Myung Soo), with her confirmed and his agency saying that an offer was received and … Continue reading →
The tide has turned for tvN Sat-Sun drama Memories of Alhambra and not a moment too soon. The drama finally reversed a two episode slight ratings dip since it’s premiere episode as this past Sunday’s episode 4 rose to 8.154%, a notable increase from episode 3 which was in the 6% range. The ratings increase also coincided with episode 4 … Continue reading →
The late fall of Paris makes for a ideal fashion pictorial setting so its no surprise so many Korean magazines have shipped stars over to capture the background mood. K-actress Lee Yeon Hee totally could pass for a Parisian with her effortless style thanks to model looks and height. I’m intrigued by the makeup she’s wearing, the very strong blush/highlighter … Continue reading →
A bit lost in the recent high profile K-drama premieres is a chance for SBS to win the time slot of Mon-Tues with second chance drama My Strange Hero (Bok Soo is Back). Right now it’s not a very competitive time slot and previous drama Where Stars Land (Fox Star Bride) led the ratings despite a narratively that reportedly went … Continue reading →
Consider me legit surprised as how the weekend, or Saturday at least, K-drama ratings are panning out. The underdog barely any publicity jTBC Fri-Sat drama Sky Castle started out over 1% ratings and has been on a tear since then, with this Saturday’s most recent episode 6 bringing in 8.934% and continued enthused word of mouth. I haven’t watched it … Continue reading →
I’m not a fan of the latest concept stills from the upcoming K-drama adaptation of webtoon So I Married an Anti-fan. These are likely for the drama poster shoot and maybe I’m just sensitive about people randomly pointing guns at another. Of course this is just way over-the-top and cartoonish, Sooyoung‘s female lead is holding an automatic rifle and Choi … Continue reading →
The remake train didn’t quite hit this popular drama as much as some others but it’s now going on the 4th remake so I think it’s nearly reached the same level. China will be remaking super popular when it aired TW-drama Fated to Love You which rocketed both leads Chen Qiao En and Ethan Ruan (as well as second male lead … Continue reading →
The girl with the mega-watt smile is coming back to K-drama land in early 2019 and I couldn’t be happier. Cast a talented male lead and it’s time to rock and roll! Park Bo Young has confirmed upcoming tvN fantasy drama Abyss, reuniting with her PD of Oh My Ghost, who also directed Tomorrow With You and most recently Hundred … Continue reading →
The four leads of upcoming jTBC early 2019 K-drama Dazzling (Brilliant) gathered together as filming has started and I’m cautiously optimistic. The younger man-older woman pairing in currently airing tvN drama Encounter (Boyfriend) is working so beautifully that I hope Han Ji Min and Nam Joo Hyuk spark together and bring their own unique onscreen coupling to play. What’s cute … Continue reading →
I thought the days of super outlandish melo was over but here we are at the end of 2018 with An Empress’s Dignity (The Last Empress). It’s apparently so over-the-top with cartoonish villains and candy heroines and also the most polar opposite physical character transformation in like ever. Male lead Choi Jin Hyuk didn’t appear onscreen right away but his … Continue reading →
