Ha Ji Won isn’t letting a flopped drama slow her down, and why should she when the flop of The Time I Loved You (K-remake of In Time With You) was all the fault of the terrible script and excessive PPL rather than her performance or chemistry with costar Lee Jin Wook. She’s just started filming the Korean-Chinese joint production movie … Continue reading →

For a group that just filmed a real life historical tragedy of operatic proportions, the cast of upcoming sageuk movie The Throne (Sado) continue to look positively glowing and happy while doing promotions for the movie. It’s been a smashing summer for the Korean box office, with three domestic movies doing gangbusters business. That would be Northern Limit Line, Assassination, and most recently Veteran. With summer wrapped up, around the corner are the fall releases and one of the first to arrive is sageuk The Throne (Sado) with Yoo Ah In, Song Kang Ho, and Moon Geun … Continue reading →
Joseph Chang has been on a box office tear the last three years, releasing two movies a year, and this year alone his third movie just opened at the theaters in Taiwan with still four months left before year end. Consider me excited now for upcoming Chinese-Korean collaboration movie Bad Guys Always Die (坏蛋必须死). I really haven’t seen a good collab movie or drama since the groundswell of such projects started in recent years, but this one looks as entertaining as any movie trailer can hope to rope in the general audience. Starring Bolin Chen, Son Ye Jin, Kimi Qiao, … Continue reading →
C-actress Tang Yan is toeing the line big time on being over-exposed. But then again, in show business there is such a saying as no such thing as bad publicity, just no publicity. The movie is called Itazura na Kiss The Movie ~Haisukuru hen~ (Mischievous Kiss The Movie: High School version) and stars two newbies in the lead roles of cold smart male lead Irie Naoki and bumbling one-track minded Aihara Kotoko. Hitting all … Continue reading →
I’m actually looking forward to this movie for some reason, even though the pairing of Yang Mi with Luhan seems like a textbook no-brainer movie casting to stick the two most buzzed about C-entertainers in the same project. China continues to power the remake train of Korean movies and dramas, not to the point of seeming unoriginal and desperate, but … Continue reading →

The movie is premiering next week in the muggy days of August during ghost month in Taiwan, armed with scares aplenty along with a side of cinematic sexy. Starring Chris Wu … Continue reading →
Taiwan nostalgia high school movie Our Times (The Era of My Teen Girl Days) has finally arrived, premiering this Friday August 13th in domestic theaters in Taiwan.
