A Koala's Playground Posted on by

The early 2021 rumor that Chinese authorities were going to tamp down on C-dramas adopted from Chinese BL novels (boy love novels or 耽美 which means indulging in beauty) have proven not to happen as this year’s biggest hit so far 3 months in is wuxia drama Word of Honor (山河令 Shan He Ling or Mountain River Order) adapted from … Continue reading →

tvN Thriller Drama Mouse Rises in Second Week Ratings to 6.202% as the Story and Characters Start to Coalesce in the Search for the New Serial Killer

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I found tvN Wed-Thurs drama Mouse a bit underwhelming last week, it didn’t grab me as the killings were exceedingly brutal but the characters unknown so it doesn’t emotionally connect. The first and second episodes also didn’t segue well, from the OG serial killer now behind bars to new investigations with some bumbling tone thrown in, I wasn’t quite feeling … Continue reading →

Movie land pushes the envelope a lot more since viewers can’t chance upon seeing a subject matter one doesn’t intentionally pay money to see. Which is why television is always slower and later in daring to show less than mainstream subject matter. C-ent is getting back to business after a bout with COVID-19 shut the industry out but during the … Continue reading →
