In a long awaited yet totally unexpected turn of events, the pretend married couple of Yi Jie and Wei Xiang on the daily TW-drama Inborn Pair decided to smoke the recent drama competition with a truly memorable and realistic kiss for the ages. I was NOT ready for that. Kudos to Annie Chen and Chris Wang for delivering big time. … Continue reading →
This is way too cute, seeing SETTV‘s current batch of hot drama leads together and hitting the Hong Kong stage for promotions. TVB will begin airing Office Girls and Inborn Pair at the end of February, and the network managed to lure Roy Qiu, Alice Ke, and Chris Wang to visit Hong Kong ahead of the premiere. To be sure, … Continue reading →
I’m still watching the daily drama Inborn Pair (literal title True Love Looks for Trouble), a breezy and sweet contract marriage confection with warm family moments and a great steady pace. While I’m not interested in the secondary characters beyond the delightful OTP played by Annie Chen as Song Yi Jie and Chris Wang as Ke Wei Xiang, the gradually … Continue reading →
And…..it’s a wrap, folks! At over six months long in filming, Office Girls is one of the longest running TW idol dramas in recent memory, and is also the longest live-aired drama I’ve followed. The start date for Love Forward has been moved back one week, thereby finalizing the last episode of OG at 25. Based on the preview for … Continue reading →
The drama adaptation of Da Mo Yao, the novel from writer Tong Hua (who wrote Bu Bu Jing Xin) is rumored to have finally confirmed its cast! Oh heck yeah. To the surprise of NO ONE, Tangren picked as the leading lady of its biggest drama production of the year as none other than resident number one gal Liu Shi … Continue reading →
Love Forward with Amber Kuo and Tammy Chen is gearing up for its premiere in two weeks and the first teasers are finally out. I really love what I’ve seen so far. The music is lovely, the scenes are shot beautifully, and the two leading ladies are really channeling their respective characters. SETTV made off like a bandit last year, … Continue reading →
It’s been a miserable two years for CTS, which hasn’t had a hit drama since 2010’s Hi, My Sweetheart, which was terrible but drew the crowds because of Rainie Yang and Show Luo‘s popularity and great onscreen chemistry. The last CTS drama I watched was Ring Ring Bell, which started off promising enough but quickly went batshit insane and down … Continue reading →
Hunan TV has decided to strike while the iron is red hot, confirming this week that the upcoming period C-drama Ru Yi will be moved up from it’s previously scheduled Spring premiere, and will instead premiere next week. Yes, next week on Monday. Thank god the drama has finished filming already. Starring Hawick Lau and Yang Mi, with a bevy … Continue reading →
The cast of Office Girls started filming last July, and now they’ve entered their third Seasonal change and hit a bevy of holidays along the way. The biggest is of course Lunar New Year, so the cast assembled and passed out holiday cheer and signed autographs to fans right around the time principal filming for the drama was completed. It’s … Continue reading →
Now this is how you milk a new couple on the biggest stage of the year. For Hunan TV‘s annual Lunar New Year program, the network got newly outed couple Hawick Lau and Yang Mi to perform the duet theme song “Mistaken Love” from their upcoming period C-drama Ru Yi. While I think Yang Mi needs to stick to her … Continue reading →
Will this cross-over thing ever end? Apparently not, as yet another Korean actor is working abroad. Lee Da Hae has just been confirmed as the lead for the upcoming modern C-drama called Love Actually. Her co-stars are none other than Koala faves Joe Cheng and Li Yi Feng. So Feng Feng has played the younger brother to Mike He already … Continue reading →
Just because Office Girls is about to end doesn’t mean the fun loving cast will welsh on a promise. Back when OG broke 5 in ratings, which resulted in Roy Qiu making good on his promise to wear his onscreen dinosaur outfit and drive a go-cart around, his leading lady Alice Ke promised that if OG broke 6 in ratings … Continue reading →
The first poster for Love Forward with Amber Kuo and Tammy Chen is out, and I think I am in love. With the poster, that is. It just taps into the girly girl in me, with the pretty pink hued colors and the Alice in Wonderland-esque vibe. Plus the tagline of “Money or Honey” is adorable and bonus points for … Continue reading →
