Latest news from Weibo states that casting of the Yang’s brothers have been finalized. I posted here about the actors playing one of the seven brothers in the upcoming epic HK/C movie Saving General Yang (一门忠烈之杨家将), but it hadn’t yet been finalized which actor played which brother (with the exception of Wu Zun getting Liu Lang Sixth brother, and Louis Koo getting Da … Continue reading →
My Heon oppa may be doing two dramas in one year? I is happy about that. While there has been no official confirmation yet, but the mainstream Korean newspapers are reporting that famed screenwriter Kim Soo Hyun (the most esteemed and respected writer in Yeouido) has offered the lead role of her upcoming drama to Song Seung Heon. While Song … Continue reading →
Yoon Eun Hye wrapped filming for Lie to Me and immediately she’s off on her other work engagements. She’s just filmed a cell phone CF with Ethan Ruan (Xiao Tian). The CF was filmed in China, and already Ethan is on a flight back to Taiwan (hee hee, I have an Ethan post coming up, I know what he’s headed … Continue reading →
Just a gentle reminder that the hotness you are about to see belongs to Koala at the playground, who is in turn keeping safe from grabbity fangirls for Yoon Eun Hye. Oppa belongs only to her in real life. Normally I’d be all jealous, but not with them. Anyways, I’ve had these screencaps for awhile now but never got around … Continue reading →
Not sure if anyone is interested in checking this out, but the upcoming TBS J-dorama remake of the popular K-drama You’re Beautiful is scheduled to premiere in two weeks. The remake stars a new slew of J-ent idols, which may or may not rocket them to stardom the way HanaDan made Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun. Speaking of which, Ikemen … Continue reading →
We’re a little over a week away from the premiere of the Mon-Tues KBS drama Spy Myung Wol. Since Heartstrings has disappointed me, this naturally vaults up there to become my next most anticipated K-drama. But I’m keeping expectations low, sort of like I did with My Princess. KBS released a slew of official stills. Bringing you the highlights only, … Continue reading →
Why wait when it’s such a runaway choice at this point. Song Jie Xiu is hands down the male lead of the year in any drama I’ve watched. Even if I didn’t watch that drama, I’ll gladly bet that Jie Xiu will PWN that male lead, too. From whose fertile mind did he come from? Why is he this awesome? … Continue reading →
Alright ladies (and perhaps the occasional gentleman): I already promised a HwanHye forum (like the GeunGeun forum) for you guys to go crazy in, and it’s forthcoming. So calm down, and um, stop asking me for updates. M’kay? You guys know I bring it when I see it. Until the forum opens, I suggest mass re-watching Lie to Me, and this … Continue reading →
Material Queen feels like a post-modern fairy tale. It tells a love story by going backwards, where everything will end with finding love, rather than love leading to a journey together. This drama is so brilliantly directed that your eyes feast on the visual splendor of each scene, the camera flowing seamlessly from shot-to-shot. PD Chen Hui Ling is undoubtedly … Continue reading →

The movie will be the first collaboration between Zai Zai and Ella … Continue reading →
I was totally not expecting this drama to move this fast into production when I posted a few weeks ago that Janine Chang and Peter Ho have been tapped as the leads of the upcoming TW-drama Xiao Xian’s Beautiful Life (see post here). Today came the official confirmation that the drama starts filming in two days, and the title and … Continue reading →
For those of you waiting for a recap of episode 1 of Heartstrings (You’ve Fallen for Me), I’m sorry to say it’s currently not forthcoming. Trust me when I say I’m more disappointed than you, because this has been the drama I’ve been pimping for the past few weeks as my most anticipated of the Summer lot. I purposely tried … Continue reading →
YES! Super duper yes! I don’t care of this drama sucks donkey, I simply want to watch it. The long-completed Sunshine Angel starring Wu Zun (in what is likely his last drama performance) and Rainie Yang (see her with her trademark long locks prior to cutting it for Drunken to Love You) is finally getting an airtime. It’s airing next … Continue reading →
