It’s new drama preview time and this one just dropped from the sky to great excitement for fans. Legend of Anle with Dilraba Dilmurat and Gong Jun released the first trailer today and it’s definitely one of the high profile dramas to come. I loved the trailer TBH and have no reservations about these two working together, this continues Gong … Continue reading →
I’m so freaking excited for the upcoming Alice in Borderland season 2, confirmed to air on Netflix this December 2022. It would be a two year gap (wow time flies!) between the first season which happened to air the same time as Netflix monster thriller Sweet Home and both are basically apocalyptic survival stories adapted from a source manga/webtoon. I’ve … Continue reading →
It’s kerchief waving and sniffles time as K-actor Kang Tae Oh enlists for military service. He shared this week pictures of himself with the requisite buzz cut which looks like he’s signed up to film DP2 haha but the reality is he’s off to do 20 months of mandatory duty. I haven’t heard which department he will be joining but … Continue reading →
If anyone says or thinks the pandemic is over I have a news story for you haha. It’s totally not over but the hysteria has died down to living with COVID-19 and this week three bigwigs in K-ent are getting to live with it personally. Lee Jung Jae just won the Best Actor Award at the 2022 Emmy’s and after … Continue reading →
I feel like the real life friendship between IU and Lee Jun Ki happened because they are both so hard working and cool in real life and because it is sort of karma for how much the viewers shipped them in Moon Lovers and we all got shafted. It wasn’t just the sad ending, we knew what Bu Bu Jing … Continue reading →
The first teaser is out for C-drama Nothing But You (Chinese title Love Only) with Wu Lei and Zhou Yu Tong and it’s giving off really cool vibes. The teaser has the two leads discussing the type of person they are looking for and then being attracted to each other despite neither fitting that bill. The real life age gap … Continue reading →
C-ent has lately been doing sudden drops of dramas, parachutes so to speak, with a drama suddenly announced to premiere on streaming mere days before the release. It helps that dramas promote periodically especially on holidays with promo goodies even before getting the airing permit and sometimes getting the permit makes the production want to release it as soon as … Continue reading →
C-actress Bai Lu has not just one but two high profile period C-dramas on deck and which one you are looking forward to more may depend on your taste in the two male leads and the general story outline. The finished filming one is Till the End of the Moon with Luo Yun Xi, a xianxia drama and also their … Continue reading →
2022 has been THE breakout year for C-actress Zhao Lu Si, with two back-to-back hit dramas with Who Rules the World followed by Love Like the Galaxy. But with being “red” (i.e. popular) right now comes the requisite netizen interest and gossip column attention. Recently a well known entertainment gossip site was asked about whether Zhao Lu Si was dating … Continue reading →
A person has a right to earn a living and with that K-star Park Yoochun can continue to scrounge up an entertainment career where and how he can. This is such a disheartening news to hear but there is a silver lining. Veteran award-winning Korean actor Ahn Sung Ki has revealed to the public that he’s been battling blood cancer for the past year. I don’t know if its leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma specifically but he gave an interview over the weekend in response to concern over his … Continue reading →
I’ve written off Thousand Years for You as quickly as I got excited about it so let’s take the next batch of C-dramas that interest me a bit slower. One is Forbidden Love (浮图缘 Fu Tu Yuan) a court intrigue romance adapted from the same name novel by writer You Si Jie. She has a lot of novels under her … Continue reading →
Man this sucks to hear. This weekend was the conclusion of MBC Fri-Sat drama Big Mouth with Lee Jong Seok and Yoona which ended up being both better than expected when it started and now worse than hoped for in how it ended. I’m so far from being caught up I may table this based on the howls of anger … Continue reading →
