One of the most enjoyable similar themed dramas was Bring It On, Ghost! with Kim So Hyun and Taecyeon many years ago and this feels like the right pairing for a drama that is primed to bring the same cute and slightly scary energy. The first look is out for upcoming Kakao TV K-drama Shaman Girl Ga Doo Shim (Superior … Continue reading →
I have no problems with more young actor Bae In Hyuk, he’s absolutely stealing my hear in tvN drama My Roommate is a Gumiho despite his limited screen time and also regardless of how much I love the drama OTP. He’s grown in character and demonstrates great onscreen chemistry and a nuanced emotional output. He’s also on the small screen … Continue reading →
Woah, I cringe when looking at these drama stills but also can’t look away. It’s like disaster torture combined to inflict the most trauma on male lead Namgoong Min‘s character in the upcoming action thriller drama The Veil (Black Sun). His character is an elite NIS agent who suffers a betrayal and fall into pits of despair and returns to … Continue reading →
Yay, an awesome casting news today to end the work week. K-ent is reporting that Kim Woo Bin has been offered the male lead in his own headlining K-drama airing on Netflix. It’s an adaptation of the webtoon Delivery Driver and is set in a dystopian future and is action and intrigue driven. In the future pollution has made life … Continue reading →
It’s good timing for Netflix to release more zombie sageuk drama Kingdom news right now what with the side-story Kingdom: Ashin of the North being released in a few weeks in July 2021. The streaming platform announced today that it has greenlighted another Kingdom side episode titled Kingdom: Crown Prince which deals with the life of Joo Ji Hoon‘s lead … Continue reading →
This has been a good year for SNSD member who have branched out into acting. Yuri is majorly impressing in sageuk Bossam: Stealing Fate and Sooyoung did her best in So I Married an Anti-fan, and Yoona has been cast in the drama Big Mouth with Lee Jong Seok. Two more ladies will join the acting return this year, the … Continue reading →
I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the first chapters of webtoon Yumi’s Cells, which I checked out when I heard it was getting a K-drama adaptation. There are so many webtoons out there that I don’t have time to wade through the detritus but the ones that get drama versions are usually pretty good. The unfortunate shades to the concept … Continue reading →
I’m sure viewers who watched and/or stuck with the tvN Mon-Tues drama Doom at Your Service (One Day, Destruction Came to My Door) will take away their own worth it or not worth it conclusions. I watched enough to junk the entire series but what I did watch did pique my interest in one thing only – supporting actress Shin … Continue reading →
I know folks think this was already all set but clearly nothing is confirmed until it is. jTBC just announced that Son Ye Jin has signed on for its 2022 women-centric drama Thirty Nine, which will have her starring with Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun as a trio of best friends and successful ladies navigating the loves and … Continue reading →
I will not forget to add Doom at Your Service (One Day, Destruction Came to My Door) to my ongoing list of worst drama of 2021, now that it has ended and indeed did not have a magical revival in the final episode in a final redemption hurrah. What it did have is apparently a writer still shitting rainbows and … Continue reading →
Ooooh, actual pressure, I love it! tvN Sat-Sun female empowerment plus makjang rich people drama Mine ended its successful run this past weekend, with the final episode 16 getting 10.512% ratings. 2021 has been tvN’s year in the Sat-Sun time slot, in previous years they got competition from jTBC but this year every single weekend drama from tvN has been … Continue reading →
Quarantine during COVID-19 has taught me that as much as being able to lay on the bed or sofa as much as I want, it’s still not good for one’s motivation or waist line to do so. But if I looked as chic and gorgeous as Song Hye Kyo does doing that activity I may be inclined to keep going … Continue reading →
At this point I applaud the remaining viewers sticking with Doom at Your Service (One Day, Destruction Came to My Door), though it isn’t a lot of people as the ratings dropped again in this Monday’s second to last episode 15 to 2.334%. That’s about half of the highest point ratings and perhaps the best part of this drama was … Continue reading →
