The trainwreck divorce proceedings between Gu Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun continues unabated, clearly she didn’t hear my pleading in my last post to stop airing her grievances in public. Gu Hye Sun posted a picture of a man in a bathrobe that she claimed to be evidence of estranged husband Ahn Jae Hyun cheating on her. His side … Continue reading →
Paris Fashion Week has been in full swing for, well, a week already and there are plenty of interesting looks both on the catwalk and in attendance. I particularly liked TW-actress and singer Rainie Yang and a relative newbie to the Paris scene in rising C-actress Shen Yue. What was winning wasn’t their outfits, frankly Rainie’s is a tad too … Continue reading →
C-netizens have been scrutinizing Angelababy for the last decade ever since she debuted so it’s nothing she’s not used to. Recent issues with her is more PS so she looks rather Thai beauty in features and of course her maybe divorce to actor Huang Xiaoming. If she did get more PS whatever floats her boat and if she is divorced … Continue reading →
Gosh darn it, I just love KBS Mon-Tues drama The Tale of Nokdu. It continues to live up to the fun and beautiful promos from last month, arriving to inject me with a critically needed dose of cute and sassy with leads Kim So Hyun and Jang Dong Yoon. The ratings remain in the 6% range so this doesn’t appear … Continue reading →
Talk about a double whammy in bad things to happen to one drama. Big budget high profile period C-drama Win the World, which was filmed in 2017 and starred Fan Bing Bing and Gao Yun Xiang, is reportedly going to be fully re-filmed for both lead actor scenes in order to be able to air and recoup some sunk costs. … Continue reading →
The Leverage team is rolling out this Sunday October 13th when the drama premieres on smaller cable network TV Chosun, but it comes with a big name cast and plenty of US original name recognition. Starring Lee Dong Gun, Jeon Hye Bin, Kim Sae Ron, and Kim Kwon, the drama is about an insurance investigator turned head of a ring … Continue reading →
The doors have closed for Hotel Del Luna and running a lodging for spirits for the past thousand years must’ve been tiring for IU. She has totally earned her break but I hope she takes her Jang Man Wol fashion sense back into the real world because her wardrobe was the most creative and gorgeous in recent memory. She’s in … Continue reading →
I will admit that I had zero interest in the MBN drama Graceful Family, it looked makjang and I am not fans of leads Im Soo Hyang and Lee Jang Woo. But the drama has become the can-do drama of summer 2019, with ratings starting at 2% which is already good for MBN and passing 7% last week to it … Continue reading →
A drama is the work of tens if not hundreds of people, with the high profile cast only the tip of the iceberg. I hope the recent tabloid glare on male lead Ahn Jae Hyun doesn’t negatively impact his upcoming MBC drama People With Flaws costarring Oh Yeon Seo. It actually sounds kinda stupid in concept – a woman who … Continue reading →
Stories don’t need to be emotionally safe to be told, and some are going to rile folks up. Popular Korean novel 1982 Born Kim Ji Young is a best seller but reviled by certain segments of the male population for being a feminist novel whatever that means. Even when a female star posts that she’s read it or reading it … Continue reading →
In conjunction with the Busan International Film Festival, a new awards show was launched call the Asia Content Awards. It’s not terribly long but does put a lot of television shows across Asia and small screen acting performances as the centerpiece rather than films across the greater festival. Winning the inaugural 2019 ACA for Best Drama was 2018 hit cable … Continue reading →
I just want this whole ordeal to be over because the folks involved and now the public has morphed from having an opinion to knives out. K-actress Gu Hye Sun is in the middle of a high profile divorce with fellow actor and husband Ahn Jae Hyun. She laid down for about three weeks but on the same day that … Continue reading →
One big name leading man is passing but another one has thrown his name in the mix. Hit drama screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung‘s upcoming 2020 drama about people working for an overseas NGO initially had her reuniting with former male lead Jo In Sung after working together twice already with That Winter, the Wind Blows and It’s Okay, It’s Love. … Continue reading →
