The first stills are out for K-drama Revenge is Back (Korean punny title Bok Soo is Back) and it flips the narrative on male lead Yoo Seung Ho from his last drama I am Not a Robot. In that drama, he gave errand girl Chae Soo Bin a hard time with a delivery she was making for him, and now … Continue reading →
K-actress Kim So Hyun is such the perfect model for light dewy foundation, she never looks caked and plastered on the red carpet and has the enviable youthful radiance to convince me that I could emulate it by using whatever tonic she’s shilling. Her latest makeup CF released BTS pictures that are good enough to just put out as is. … Continue reading →
The just released 4th teaser for tvN fantasy romance Memories of Alhambra just ratcheted up the excitement level. There’s gunfights and knights and running away from danger and the obligatory OTP staring at each other with interest moment. Love it all! Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye have never looked better as a drama character, they’re like the most good … Continue reading →
Sometimes celebrities are just very good looking people born of two average folks but in the case of Taiwan actor and former idol singer Wu Zun it’s like he leapt from the loins of total financial and visual privilege. In recent years Wu Zhun has mostly turned into a reality show star on the backs of daddy devotion image to … Continue reading →
There’s a new remake of It Started With a Kiss (Itazura na Kiss) in the works and this one doesn’t elicit the immediate response of why bother which is actually good sign. There are so many versions of ISWAK out there and I’ve like quite a few of them – the Taiwan perfection with Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng, before … Continue reading →
I went into recently finished OCN supernatural thriller drama The Guest for Kim Jae Wook and left adding Kim Dong Wook to my stable of charismatic leading men who happen to be great actors. I’m thrilled Kim Dong Wook is getting so much attention and love for his role as psychic medium turned taxi driver Yoon Hwa Pyeong, a role … Continue reading →
When I saw paparazzi pictures of Taiwan actress Puff Guo and actor Jasper Liu (Liu Yi Hao) filming in a part at night and being super cute and chatty it totally revved up my dormant Taiwan drama interest. The two charming actors are reuniting for a new 2019 GTV TW-drama called Before We Get Married (We Cannot Be Friends) a … Continue reading →
The lineup is set for upcoming K-drama Dazzling with dual female leads Han Ji Min and veteran Kim Hye Ja playing the same character, who is named Kim Hye Ja ahahaha. That’s cute and also really awesome that Kim Hye Ja will be reuniting with the PD from her hit sitcom I Live in Cheondamdong (Live Among the Rich) which … Continue reading →
I’m surprised there’s such a strong opinion against Yoon Kyun Sang acting opposite Kim Yoo Jung in upcoming jTBC rom-com drama Clean With Passion For Now. My worry was that they wouldn’t match up well visually, she’s more cute and perky and he’s my image of broody and intense. But apparently some folks are upset at the 12 year age … Continue reading →
I feel so so bad for TW actor-singer Aaron Yan because having his personal life plastered all over the tabloids because of a jealous ex is the worst kind of privacy airing revenge for a celebrity. That Aaron is likely gay is one of the most open secrets in Taiwan ent and tabloids for the last decade have openly written … Continue reading →
K-actress Park Shin Hye has been doing adult roles for years now but I often still instinctively think of her as young adult rather than a mature leading lady in her own right, I think Heirs was the blip that put her back into my mind as a teen and it’s still a role I haven’t fully forgotten. But she’s … Continue reading →
Maybe it’s the fall weather and the recent seismic shift in Asian drama viewing options but I’m in a nostalgic mood and one of the classic eras that passed naturally was the Taiwan idol dramas of the 2000s. Starting from Meteor Garden which was remade by a new cast this year in 2018 who may have just been born when … Continue reading →
This K-drama adaptation of manhwa So I Married an Anti-fan already looks way better than that oddball Chinese-Korean jointly produced movie version. Starring Sooyoung and Choi Tae Joon, both have the looks and actual acting ability to make what looks like fluffy rom-com cuteness into something hopefully a bit more meaningful. The drama hasn’t been picked up yet by a … Continue reading →
