I’ve been excited about tvN drama Memories of Alhambra since the casting of leads Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye were announced but now I’m legit stoked just to see the story unfold. The third set of teasers are out and it provides glimpses of elements fantastical such as empty train stations and a knight with arrows sticking out of … Continue reading →
The rumors that just married C-stars Tang Yan and Luo Jin are also expecting a baby much like the other likely expectant C-couples aren’t as loud and persistent so I’m leaning towards no bun in the oven based on how large scale and pre-planned their weekend overseas wedding in Vienna, Austria entailed. This is not a last minute slapped together … Continue reading →
It’s only the 2nd year for the Seoul Awards, sponsored by Sports Seoul, but there must either be great marketing or someone knows all the A-listers because this year’s ceremony was nearly as star-studded as the prestigious Baeksang Awards. The big winners were drama My Ahjusshi for television Daesang and the counterpart went to the film The Spy Gone North. … Continue reading →
Basically whatever the C-netizens are gossiping about is likely 99.9% correct is what I have gathered from over ten years of following the industry. One is more likely to stay incognito walking around Times Square naked than attempting to keep personal life under wraps in C-ent. Once again a percolating rumor is proved to be true as dating Chinese acting … Continue reading →
I didn’t write much about summer 2018 SBS drama Thirty But Seventeen but I quietly watched it every week and thoroughly enjoyed the dramatic journey. It wasn’t eventful or groundbreaking yet had a calming comforting vibe that matched very well with male lead Yang Se Jong. For the same reason I didn’t like him in Temperature of Love for being … Continue reading →
It’s been awhile since I watched a Hu Ge drama but my love and appreciation for him remains as steady as his onscreen presence. There is a certain calmness to his acting that made his pitch perfect role in Nirvana in Fire even more perfect. He’s still on sabbatical from his entertainment career, not sure if he’s still pursuing further … Continue reading →
The fashions are less the center of attention when the purpose of an event is charitable rather than awards driven. Lots of big name K-celebs took time out to attend the W Korea annual cancer charity fundraiser in Seoul, with half in subdued looks for the more serious occasion and others trying on colorful and rather interesting looks. Kim Hee … Continue reading →
Things are looking more and more likely that the rumored end of October 2018 overseas wedding of dating C-stars Tang Yan and Luo Jin will indeed take place. C-ent is reporting that the two stars are already in Vienna, Austria for the weekend nuptials on Sunday the 28th. Tang Yan’s entire production house staff and personal assistant was spotted at … Continue reading →
It’s not what’s shown but what’s covered up that C-netizens are eyeing in recent months. From Zhao Li Ying‘s rumored pregnancy to the heating up further rumors of Liu Shi Shi‘s pregnancy, it’ll be cute if C-ent’s top actresses of the same generation welcome new babies in early 2019 together. Liu Shi Shi hasn’t been very active in the public … Continue reading →
I’m so inured to criticism and commentary within the opinionated K-drama viewing audience, the younger me would feel the need to defend and support but now I just like whatever the heck I like and could care less what others like or dislike. It’s a chill place to be and I highly recommend it. With that said, I still have … Continue reading →
The TW-drama In Time With You from 2011 feels like another lifetime ago, a time when Taiwan still made good idol dramas and in fact had genuinely improved on the quality from just cute to insightful. I haven’t watched a TW-drama through in a couple of years and don’t even recognize the current crop of drama actors and actresses but … Continue reading →
I’m like all three leads above in their first together still from upcoming jTBC rom-com Clean With Passion For Now, head tilted in slight wonder. I legit don’t know how the chemistry and visual vibe will be for petite and young adult Kim Yoo Jung with her much older and much much taller male leads Yoon Kyun Sang and Song … Continue reading →
I’m so dying with laughter and feeling cringey embarrassment for my darlings Yoon Eun Hye and Chun Jung Myung for being stuffed into this drama poster epic fail. But it’s good natured ribbing because K-drama posters run the gamut and there are plenty of sad sack attempts so this is nothing new. The official drama posters for MBN rom-com Fluttering … Continue reading →
