A thorough win for Taiwanese singer Selina Jen, gorgeous in head-to-toe Michael Kors at Taipei airport last week flying out for New York Fashion Week. I love the pop of the bright red dress accentuated with a thin camel colored belt and topped with a classic ladies cut leather jacket. She’s even got sensible and stylish kitten heels to complete … Continue reading →
Nobody can say that Shin Se Kyung isn’t a beautiful woman. But everyone can have differing opinions on whether she’s a good actress. For the sake of this pictorial it’s the unanimous side at work as Shin Se Kyung recently posed for a hanbok photo shoot that is nothing short of breathtaking. Reminds me of Suzy‘s hanbok shoot and even … Continue reading →
Other than the picture above of actress Park Han Byul in a wedding dress, which is exquisite and she is absolutely stunning as a bride-to-be, the rest of this Hawaii shot pictorial doesn’t give off any engagement photo vibes. Park Han Byul has been enjoying a steady acting career these past few years, not as dogged by the bad actress … Continue reading →
A very Happy Lunar New Year 2018 to everyone! It’s the year of the dog, and also eight years since I started blogging and I can’t believe I’ve kept at it for so long. It’s been long enough to have seen the rise, fall, wane, and consistency of many Korean actors and actresses, making it even more impressive for those … Continue reading →
I’m going to have words with the production team member who chose to release as the first still for upcoming jTBC romance drama Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food a picture where half of male lead Jung Hae In‘s face is obscured by his coffee cup. This is not a coffee CF, and definitely detracts from setting the whole tone. … Continue reading →
It was a surprise to see new episodes of SBS Wed-Thurs drama Return airing this week, what with last week’s epic onset fallout with the PD and leading lady Go Hyun Jung getting into a tiff and then SBS firing her. The show must go on but the surprise is how quickly the production was ready to start airing again … Continue reading →
Yeah, imma just going to give credit where credit is due but once again screenwriter Kim Eun Sook has unveiled a drama preview that looks phenomenally kickass. The first teaser is here for upcoming summer 2018 tvN period drama Mr. Sunshine, where I’m wondering where the sunshine is because all I see is exquisite cinematography and a crap load of … Continue reading →
I don’t live in a country that celebrates White Day, i.e. White Valentine’s Day or exactly a month after February 14th Valentine’s Day. Hence my mistake in the last post on the upcoming Cheese in the Trap movie which is scheduled to premiere next month on March 14th which is White Valentine’s Day and I saw the Valentine’s Day and … Continue reading →
I skipped 2017’s dark and serious OCN drama Save Me which by all accounts was solid all around and garnered raves for female lead Seo Ye Ji. For me there were two actresses who changed my opinion for the better last year in Chae Soon Bin and Lee Se Young and I think had I watched Save Me then Seo … Continue reading →
I’m still very concerned about the well-being of K-actor Lee Joon who is currently in the army doing his military service and was recently in the news over a report that he attempted suicide. His agency has released a more detailed response to the suicide report, further emphasizing that is it false and aggressively stating that it will take legal … Continue reading →
It was a Korean idol bonanza of sorts at the Prada event in Seoul last week. I don’t even know the full names of many of them even if I recognize the faces thanks to the proliferation of idols all over K-ent. The first person I recognize is Yoona of SNSD, going for a funky look of tourist with a … Continue reading →
Every time I see Lee Jun Ki it elicits and involuntary internal squeal of delight, and at this point in his career I think he’s acting for the sake of enjoying is own career. That may explain why he picks projects like he’s cosplaying for professions – cop, reporter, murder suspect, vampire, Joseon prince, Joseon thief, Joseon gunman, Joseon cop, … Continue reading →
Good news for Rain fans, myself included of course since he’s just gotten more endearing as a person over the years even though his acting and taste in picking projects remains woefully inconsistent. He’s coming back in 2018 with a new drama, going to cable network jTBC to headline the action thriller Sketch (not to be confused with upcoming SBS … Continue reading →
