The first stills are out for upcoming MBC 50-episode weekend drama Bad Thief, Good Thief, which has a synopsis that doesn’t sound like a typical family K-drama which has dominated that time slot. The drama is about a band of thieves who disrupt the operations of a powerful top group secretly manipulating South Korea. So Robin Hood battling the big … Continue reading →
K-ent continues to churn out talented child actors who succeed into adult roles, with three big names from the last few years transitioning and leaving a void. Yeo Jin Goo, Kim Yoo Jung, and Kim So Hyun are now fully in leading role territory of their own so there’s room for the new batch of teens to make their mark. … Continue reading →
C-ent’s puppy love for teen actor Wu Lei will get a treat and a test at the same time when his first major leading role in wuxia C-drama Fights Break Sphere (斗破苍穹) comes out later this year. It’s yet another nth adaptation of a wuxia novel and this one sounds just like Louis Cha‘s bread and butter of a young martial arts … Continue reading →
2017 really is the year of K-ent star romances, after TW-ent stole the thunder in 2016 with a slew of high profile celebrity marriages. Another couple has come out of the wood works and it’s none other than previously rumored couple Lee Jun Ki and Jeon Hye Bin. The media reported back in 2015 that they were dating after meeting … Continue reading →
I feel like Ji Chang Wook has been on a media streak these last few months, thank goodness I like him and appreciate all the goodies. Not to mention this period is his final push before enlisting for mandatory military service. He has one more acting project lined up, the name changed twice already and leading lady swapped three times … Continue reading →
KBS had a hit in the last Wed-Thurs drama with Chief Kim which ended last week, but it’s less certain that this week’s new arrival Mystery Queen can replicate the success. I’m actually really interested in the offbeat Mystery Queen even with nary a main cast member that’s a fave of mine. I just like the dramatic throwback movie posters … Continue reading →
I still don’t know for sure what Lee Min Ho and Suzy‘s ardent fans think of their fave dating such a high profile match. I think they look adorable together and judging by their celebration of a 2 year anniversary this past weekend they clearly remain happily together. Word spread on Monday to hit the K-ent news wires that the … Continue reading →
This pictorial does double duty of being super charming and reminding that wedding season is around the corner. Spring does host plenty of weddings but early summer is wedding manna and it’s also the same time that Lin Geng Xin and Zhao Li Ying‘s highly anticipated period C-drama Princess Agent airs this year. The drama title sounds silly enough but … Continue reading →
It’s less than week away from the premiere of new tvN Fri-Sat night drama Chicago Typewriter and I’m not getting a good sense as to whether this drama will be a hit or not. I do get a positive strong vibe from the acting snippets seen on the teasers and previews. Yoo Ah In does dismissive arrogant hit writer perfectly … Continue reading →
Filming has started on upcoming SBS summer drama While You Were Sleeping, pairing up popular K-drama leads Suzy and Lee Jong Seok in a drama written by screenwriter Park Hye Ryun of Pinocchio, I Hear Your Voice, and Dream High fame. The final product can either be an expected hit thanks to the star power and track record of the … Continue reading →
With so much well-deserved love for the C-drama adaptation of Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles Peach Blossoms, the production team behind that beautifully filmed fantasy drama is already filming it’s next colorful period piece. With the Chinese title Fiery Flames Like Song (Lie Huo Ru Ge 烈火如歌), the drama is also an adaptation of a Chinese novel by romance writer Ming … Continue reading →
This dorama continues to look cute and cuter, or maybe that’s due to the reunion combination of Yamashita Tomohisa and Kamenashi Kazuya shading everything in rosy tinted Nobuta nostalgia. It could be both, with Yamapi’s last rom-com being the most excellent From Five to Nine (5-ji Kara 9-ji Made) with Ishihara Satomi. This time in You Are My Destiny (Boku … Continue reading →
I’m a little late to this reunion but a few weeks is no biggie when it comes to the happiness inducing pairing of Taiwan drama stalwarts Roy Qiu and Alice Ke. The ratings delivering hitmakers of Office Girls and Marry Me or Not are rocking the couples wear and the still strong chemistry at a recent promo event in early March … Continue reading →
