Congratulations with a side of complete and utter shock is in store for celebrity acting couple Gu Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun. The recently gone public lovebirds are getting married! News broke early on Friday that the Blood costars are getting married, and like their quick confirmation of their dating news a few months ago, the two are once … Continue reading →
This felt like a boilerplate episode for Descendants of the Sun, confirming that the action moving back to Seoul has led to an odd sense of choppiness. Urk life was filled with disaster situation one after another but a confident narrative pace. The dangers lurking in Seoul for the intrepid leads are drama cookie cutter fare despite the big OMG moment … Continue reading →
Filming has started on upcoming MBC Wed-Thurs drama Lucky Romance, and with it comes the confirmation as to the seconds leads who will be joining Hwang Jung Eum and Ryu Jun Yeol. It’s half of the rumored casting from last week – Lee Chung Ah will be the second female lead but the second male lead will be Lee Soo … Continue reading →
Two leading lady names, both currently very popular, yet it elicits opposing reactions from me. KBS is prepping romantic sageuk Moonlight Drawn by Clouds for Mon-Tues in late summer, airing in August after Beautiful Minds wraps up. Rising actor Park Bo Gum turned down Entertainer with Ji Sung to take this drama so hopefully it’ll be worth his while. As … Continue reading →
Descendants of the Sun has been all about the fictional developing country of Urk for the last ten episodes but the action moves back to Seoul in episode 13 just in time for a lovely breather. It starts to tie up ends left loose while the medical team was overseas, but not in too tidy of ways just yet. I … Continue reading →
The battle has turned into a zero sum game as it heads into the final stretch, with the winner continuing to win and the losers still getting bruised. Episode 13 of Descendants of the Sun brought in a 33.5% AGB nationwide ratings, with Goodbye Mr. Black steady at 4.6%, but poor Please Come Bach Ahjusshi dropped yet again to garner … Continue reading →
Likely nothing will top IU‘s collection of flower men in the upcoming K-version of Bu Bu Jing Xin (Bobogyungsim: Ryeo), but it’s certainly nice for Park Shin Hye to get up there in the number of gorgeous male actors surrounding her in the next drama. SBS has signed on Park Shin Hye and Kim Rae Won for neurology medical drama … Continue reading →

If I needed another reason to watch upcoming tvN Mon-Tues romantic comedy Oh Hae Young Again (Another Miss Oh), and I don’t since I love all three leads, then this new piece of info makes me ecstatic and the drama can’t miss now. I just saw that the drama is being written by screenwriter Park Hae Young who wrote jTBC … Continue reading →
Casting matters a big deal not just in assembling certain audience favorites onscreen, but it also makes a big difference in setting the mood for the drama or movie. For example, the exact same storyboard may suddenly look different if idols are cast as leads versus critically lauded acting talent. KBS is still trying to get medical drama Beautiful Mind off … Continue reading →
Leave it to the Chinese broadcast to further milk the success of Descendants of the Sun, but in this case it’s actually not all that offensive. Eagle-eyed Chinese viewers of the drama, and there are many many loving it in there, spotted additional PPL in the version streamed in China versus the version aired in Korea. Despite being broadcast simultaneously, … Continue reading →
The second week of new Mon-Tues dramas have made this time slot more interesting ratings wise than the slaughterhouse of Wed-Thurs. First week leader Jackpot (The Royal Gambler or Daebak) on SBS decreased a tiny bit to 11.6% AGB nationwide, with second place KBS‘s Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho (My Neighbor, Mr. Jo) staying steady at 10.9%, but it’s third … Continue reading →

With the rumors from three weeks ago that leads Song Joong Ki and Song … Continue reading →
