Another congrats are in order for Won Bin and Lee Na Young. A mere two months after the A-list top star couple tied the knot in the Korean countryside in late May of this year, the newlyweds are just brimming with good news as they have just confirmed that they are expecting a baby. Whether it’s a honeymoon baby or … Continue reading →
Of all the announced K-dramas on the horizon, the production with the biggest upside and downside remains the fully pre-produced KBS disaster zone medical drama Descendants of the Sun. Starring Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo, Jin Goo, and Kim Ji Won, it’s my most anticipated drama for the cast and the screenwriter being Kim Eun Sook of Heirs, Secret Garden, City … Continue reading →
I saw Eric this weekend at KCON. I know this is a post about an upcoming drama but I promise I’ll tie to to the glorious and perfect specimen of a man that is Eric Moon in a second. There were a few dramas vying for the post Yongpal Wed-Thurs time slot on SBS but a dark horse has emerged … Continue reading →
I want to thank TW-actress/producer Ruby Lin and uber Chinese television host He Joing for giving me the biggest bellyful of laughs in god knows how long. I was doubled over laughing until it hurt, and then promptly got up and clicked play again to experience it all over again. Ruby and He Joing are all over the Mandarin entertainment … Continue reading →
Lee Jun Ki is the best thing about Scholar Who Walks the Night for me. I think he gets taken for granted nowadays because he’s so consistently good, regardless of how his costars may or may not be delivering on their own performances. His visuals for the drama are also fantastic, the more dramatic look as vampire scholar Sung Yul … Continue reading →
One casting was confirmed last week and the other just dropped, but since I didn’t get around to writing about the former then it’s more efficient to just lump it with the latter for the purpose of this post. Upcoming tvN drama Cheese in the Trap gets more mouse in its clutches with the addition of a leading lady in … Continue reading →
I feel like there are fewer K-dramas nowadays, or maybe it’s just fewer K-dramas that excite me enough to anticipate and later write about. The falling domestic ratings may indicate the K-viewers feel the same way, and it’s hard to fault that sentiment when dramas are packed with PPL to the point of being distracting and the story lines are … Continue reading →
Another week and another new Time to Love treat, with the movie version of popular novel/drama Bu Bu Jing Xin another step closer to its August 7th premiere. I can’t get over I’ve gotten more and more excited to watch this, when initially I was primed to let it pass since nothing could possibly top how perfect BBJX the drama … Continue reading →
This upcoming drama may or not may interest most viewers, but it’s happening come hell or high water so my take is to see what comes of it. Filming has commencing on Korean-Chinese joint production web drama High Class One-sided Love (High End Crush), or something like that because the original title was The Greatest One-Sided Love No One’s Ever Seen … Continue reading →
The next K-drama I’m most looking forward to is tvN‘s Second Time Twenty Again. I am really enjoying currently airing Oh My Ghost so it’s not to rush OMG off the screen, but I have grown super fond of Choi Ji Woo thanks to the triple punch – a fantastic turn as The Suspicious Housekeeper, being wonderfully hateful in Temptation, and … Continue reading →
By all that is holy I need this movie NOW. The epic cast of upcoming J-movie Terraformars has been filming since May but the movie is headed to Iceland next month for a full scale location shoot, and finally revealing to the public the crazy insane awesome cast assembled for this wild Mars ride. Terraformars, adapted from a popular shonen … Continue reading →
The production of upcoming Taiwan old school coming-of-age movie Our Times is certainly not stingy with spoilers. First came the peek at A-list actress Chen Qiao En as the grown up female lead in the movie, with the high school version played by rising actress Vivian Sung. Next was the reveal that Jerry Yan was the trump card as the … Continue reading →
I’ve been so busy the last few months, on top of a major computer meltdown whereby my beloved trusty PC up and died on me and took all my work with it, there was a moment of wanting to just quit blogging and return to the idyllic days of just watching. Ultimately I stuck with it because these fingers just want to … Continue reading →
