For an event called the Asia Fashion Awards I didn’t see much interesting fashion. I think the attendees and performers that I saw looked fine but it wasn’t nearly as couture or inventive as some of the other events recently such as the Golden Horse Awards. The highlight was the attendance of Japanese top singer-actor Kimura Takuya, and reuniting with top model Lin Chi Ling nearly a decade after their debacle level dorama pairing in Moon Lovers (Tsuki no Koibito). I actually like KimuTaku and Lin Chi Ling but together they were nuclear fallout levels of bad but worth it for the hate watch back then. This event was rather ho hum but a chance to snark about Moon Lovers is always a fun walk down memory lane. Continue reading
