Apparently Lee Jong Seok and Kim Ji Won are still in discussions for upcoming romance K-drama See You Again, and maybe the production is tired of waiting hence the report today emphasizing the offers out to them and stating that script reading will be held this Saturday May 19th. The drama will be 100% pre-produced and air on Netflix, with … Continue reading →
It’s good to be K-actress Kim Ji Won this week as she has not just one high profile K-drama offer on her hands but is toggling two now. K-ent is reporting that Kim Ji Won has been offered the female lead for upcoming sageuk drama Asadal written by the production team of Tree with Deep Roots and Six Flying Dragons. … Continue reading →
Both of these young actors have come a long way since their sitcom days and may be reunited this year in an interesting drama project. Lee Jong Seok and Kim Ji Won have been offered the lead roles in the Netflix produced K-drama called See You Again. It’s described as a youth romance drama by the writer of Oh My … Continue reading →
I’m ridiculously enamored of Kim Ji Won‘s green dress in this recent Cine21 pictorial shot in connection with promotions for the Joseon movie Detective K: Secret of the Living Dead. She’s the female lead in this supernatural-tinged detective movie opposite Kim Myung Min and Oh Dal Soo and it’s a great role for this talented and rising fast young actress … Continue reading →
Last but not least in the coverage of year end K-drama network awards is the 2017 KBS Drama Awards held the same night as SBS, with MBC the night before. The big winners of the night were the exceptional veteran actors playing drama dads, with Kim Young Chul of Father is Strange and Chun Ho Jin for My Golden Life … Continue reading →
The just held more elite Blue Dragon Awards this weekend in Seoul celebrated the cinematic achievements of South Korean cinema in 2017 and also memorialized the life and acting works of deceased actor Kim Joo Hyuk. There were basically three colors on the red carpet with black, white, and red, and no I don’t think it was due to somberness … Continue reading →
I don’t recall a drearier event than last weekend’s 2017 Elle Korea Awards to celebrate K-star fashions. The pitch black logo screen is one of the culprits and then things got worse when most of the stars wore black or grey and then some looked rather grumpy or dour. The shining light of color was Kim Ji Won with a … Continue reading →
I haven’t seen Kim Ji Won since her late spring KBS drama Fight For My Way finished airing, with a relatively successful ratings run as the drama premiered over 10% AGB and mostly went up to end at 13.8% for the final episode. It was her first drama since doing the mega hit Descendants of the Sun, and this time … Continue reading →
The cool friends contingent was out in force to support the bromance cop antics movie Midnight Runners starring Park Seo Joon and Kang Ha Neul. The former is coming off a well-received turn in K-drama Fight My Way while the later is in the news thanks to prepping for military enlistment next month, so this movie is coming along at … Continue reading →
For all the leading lady search headaches, what I’m seeing from the promos for upcoming KBS drama Fight My Way (Third Way My Way) has all the earmarks of being a sweet and sassy watch with two engaging lead characters. Park Seo Joon and Kim Ji Won are the best friends for a long time mutual underdogs with big dreams, … Continue reading →
Okay, these two look way to adorable together already, not that I’m surprised but am still very relieved. The first teaser is out for upcoming KBS drama Fight for My Way (Third Rate My Way), taking over the Mon-Tues time slot from the low rated Ms. Perfect. This drama definitely interests me a million times more than Park Seo Joon‘s … Continue reading →
This drama totally slipped my mind as coming up soon so it’s nice to see the first drama still and be reminded of something that still interests me. KBS is languishing in last place in its Mon-Tues slot for three dramas running, after the hit Moonlight Drawn by Clouds the network hasn’t brought in viewers with The Man Living at … Continue reading →
I came across this drama still which brought back memories and made me realize how much certain promising young things have truly made it. The above drama still contains four character shots of supporting leads in the sitcom High Kick 3, which aired in 2011 which makes it six years ago. The leads were Yoon Kye Sang and Seo JI … Continue reading →
