This Friday’s Baeksang Awards in Seoul was probably a night of little to no surprises (just one big one) and a lot of satisfied winner picks. The Park Eun Bin and Song Hye Kyo race for Best Actress ended with the former taking home the Drama Daesang for Extraordinary Attorney Woo becoming the youngest individual winner for the top prize and the latter winner her first Baeksang Best Actress in The Glory for the first time in her 27-year career. Lee Sung Min continues his Baeksang dominance winning Best Actor for Reborn Rich after winning drama Best Actor for Misaeng years ago and recently movie Best Actor for The Spy Gone North. Best Supporting Actor went to Jo Woo Jin in Narco-Saints (Suriname) and Best Supporting Actress was Yeon Jin herself Lim Ji Yeon in The Glory, both wins were in super tight races. Best Drama went to The Glory, Best Screenplay was Park Hae Young for My Liberation Notes and Best PD was Yoo In Shik for Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The biggest surprise was the night was for movie Best Actor going to Ryu Jun Yeol for The Night Owl with the movie winning Best Film while Decision to Leave took the movie side Daesang.
