I’m seriously in a teeth gnashing state when it comes to TW-drama Marry Me or Not, and it’s a bipolar situation no less as I alternate between that and bouts of smiling like a loony because the OTP makes me so darn happy. I find this drama confllicting because it can coast so well on the fantastic lead characters and … Continue reading →
I suggest viewers of Marry Me or Not have a fan handy for this Sunday’s episode 12, because the latest video preview gives a glimpse into upcoming OTP sexy times that had me fanning myself on mere seconds of footage alone. Leads Alice Ke and Roy Qiu said in recent interviews that it was the most intense and revealing onscreen … Continue reading →
This Sunday is going to be a rough go for me watching my beloved Marry Me or Not. There’s the spectre of the drama heading into the final few episodes of its run, always a melancholy thought to entertain when its a drama that has brought me so much satisfaction. But even more anxiety inducing are the previews that appear … Continue reading →
Filming has started on the C-movie adaptation of popular college age romance novel One Smile is Very Alluring (Wei Wei Yi Xiao Hen Qing Cheng). This is poised to be this year’s potential big like like You Are My Sunshine, and even earlier Shan Shan Come Eat. All three novels are by writer Gu Man, so linking them together makes … Continue reading →
Episode 11 of Marry Me or Not really got my goat up, but for all the right reasons because it shows how much I love this drama and love my precious OTP of Huan Huan and Justin. There are only four episodes left and the previews for episode 12 look insanely intense, and will likely need some anti-anxiety pills for … Continue reading →
It’s a testament to how much I’ve come to love the leads in Marry Me or Not that even ancillary obstacles get my goat up. I know Justin’s mother is not going to meddle in any way substantive, at least not if Justin can help it, and neither is the arrival of his law school junior in a cameo by … Continue reading →
I must say C-actress Liu Shi Shi may be cornering the market on romancing royal brothers, which if history and fictional dramatic style has shown in the past almost always don’t end well. She’s gotten her own happy romantic ending in real life, now married her to Bu Bu Jing Xin leading man Nicky Wu, but her star-crossed romance in … Continue reading →
Marry Me or Not took a turn into more serious territory in episode 10 but that didn’t dampen the enjoyment in the least. I appreciate the chance to flesh out other characters more, even one as unlikable as Justin’s self-absorbed mom who can only see slights against her and never her own actions towards others. Justin may not be experienced … Continue reading →
A day after the leads of soon-to-start-filming period K-drama Moon Lovers confirmed final casting in Lee Jun Ki and IU, now the rest of the cast is also locked down and more importantly got specific character assignments. This is good news even if fans of the original work in novel and C-drama Bu Bu Jing Xin have issues with the K-version casting, at … Continue reading →
I can’t believe Marry Me or Not is airing episode 10 this Sunday, it’s not just how fast time flies but how loath I am to let this perfect gem of a romance drama go soon. It’s so different from the first collaboration of Roy Qiu and Alice Ke in Office Girls that I never have the inkling to compare, … Continue reading →
It’s a done deal, now fans of Lee Jong Seok can only sit back and wait to see the end product. Lead casting for Chinese-Korean co-production C-drama Emerald Jade Lover is complete, with Lee Jong Seok as the male lead and the female lead now confirmed to be Zheng Shuang. Filming begins in January in Shanghai and Hengdian, the massive … Continue reading →
I’m fairly curious about next year period C-drama The Princess Weiyoung (Jin Xiu Wei Yang), based on a non-typical Candy female lead C-novel called The Bastard Daughter is Poisonous. The drama finished casting last week with Tang Yan as the titular female lead, reuniting with multi-drama male lead Luo Jin, but rounding our the cast with fresher faces in Vanness … Continue reading →
At a scheduled 15 episodes, and all pre-filmed in advance, TW-drama Marry Me or Not has the best pacing of any drama I’ve watched all year. There is no lagging or flagging as the story goes from a stroll to a brisk walk in a natural pace that has the events and emotions building fluidly. Episode 9 continued with the … Continue reading →
