Over the weekend I added to another reason for me to watch Nice Guy. I didn’t need another reason, I was planning to watch this sucker come hell or high water, but in addition to leading man Song Joong Ki and a script written by Lee Kyung Hee, I’ve now discovered one of the other second male leads is Lee … Continue reading →
My first inclination is to make some sort of joke about scandals coming in pairs, but then I realized this is just so oddly timed and the allegations are quite serious that I’m in no mood to make light of the situation. Joo Ji Hoon‘s first comeback drama since his military service discharge (which was precipitated on the heels of … Continue reading →
Cute! And….that might be all there is to it, the upcoming cable drama Panda and Hedgehog starring Super Junior’s Donghae as a prickly patissier and Yoon Seung Ah as a laid back café owner. The drama released more stills and the first teaser which is really a BTS look at the filming of the drama rather than showing actual footage. … Continue reading →
Take this news with a huge grain of salt. Or do as I do, since I’ll believe it only when I see the contracts signed, which might be when pigs fly when it comes to this particular leading man. K-news outlets are reporting that Won Bin, who is as elusive to television for the last twelve years as penguins are … Continue reading →
To the Beautiful You is determined to make me love it. First it casts Min Ho as quite possibly the most perfect Sano Izumi to date (looks and physique-wise, though acting isn’t that high of a bar to match up to since Wu Zun can’t act his way out of a paper bag and Oguri Shun strangely decided to barely … Continue reading →
I won’t even pretend that I care about the new guy idol group Cross Gene, or know any of the other members other than my baby boy, aside from knowing that if the group keeps getting more popular, I’ll keep getting more Shin Won Ho. Yay! This is totally like NEWS all over again, where I could care less who … Continue reading →
Jaw. Drop. The third teaser for Arang and the Magistrate is out and before I could deal with my excitement over the upcoming fantasy sageuk drama, I felt like I had my expectations upended. He can touch her. I repeat – Eun Oh the magistrate not only can see Arang, he can touch her. WHAT THE WHAT? Isn’t she a … Continue reading →
On my to-do list is catching up on Rich Man, Poor Woman recaps to align with the live airing, if only real life (you know- work, family, random emergencies) didn’t get in the way so much. Those of you who have watched episode 3 must be chomping at the bit to know how the cliffhanger moment unfurls in the next … Continue reading →
Ahhh, Song Joong Ki. What a great way to end a busy week with the first set of stills from Nice Guy, which is Song Joong Ki’s well-deserved first drama as the leading man that he so ably demonstrated over many dramas in the past four years that he’s capable of being. Which is why I think his little doppelganger … Continue reading →
When a drama I really loved finishes, I usually need a gradually weaning off of it. Such as rewatching choice scenes, and inevitably posting some more about it until I’m ready to put it to bed. So if you didn’t like Big, ignore me as usual unless you want to listen to me talk to myself (which might be amusing … Continue reading →
If episode 1 of Rich Man, Poor Woman was a solid beginning, then episode 2 proved it was capable of taking a solid set up and running with it. What’s great about RMPW is how it confidently toggles so many different elements all at once, like a juggler who expertly keeps our attention by the action on top that we … Continue reading →
The drama adaptation of Tong Hua’s Da Mo Yao recently wrapped production after four months of filming, with the cast filming the Chang An scenes first in Heng Dian and then moving to Xiang Shan to film the desert and Xi Yu sequences. At this point I’ve seen all the BTS stills, which are so thoroughly leaked that I’ve pretty … Continue reading →
I realized in saying that I liked the ending of Big (where Kyung Joon finds his way back to Da Ran as he promised and she believed he would), I didn’t make clear that the execution of the final scene was not my personal preference for how it should have been shown. I wanted desperately for Shin Won Ho‘s version of … Continue reading →
