Life goes on even after major tragedy but some adjustments happen and such is is the case in South Korea. It’s been a scant day after the Halloween celebration tragedy in Itaewon that led to a stamped crowd crush now over 150 deaths. The country has announced a national mourning period for one week and with that many things are … Continue reading →
I love love love how so many Taiwan movies these days capture the local customs, culture, and/or superstitions. The one at play here in the upcoming supernatural movie Marry My Dead Body is that one does not pick up a random red envelope on the ground. Instead of money it will contain the unfulfilled wishes of an early deceased who … Continue reading →
Well that was a quick turnaround for what could have been a really unexpected but somehow kinda neat K-ent star coupling. Song Joong Ki and Kim Tae Ri have each swiftly denied the dating rumors after someone claimed to have seen them dating incognito in Paris complete with a grainy picture of two people’s backs walking on the street. Surprisingly … Continue reading →
This is absolutely heartbreaking and horrifying so please if you have a trigger warning don’t look at some of the pictures below. On Saturday night October 29th in the Itaewon neighborhood in South Korea, famous for being trendy, clubby, and cool, a crowd stampede due to an excessive number of people swarming there for Halloween celebrations has currently lead to … Continue reading →
It’s rare in C-ent to have a drama get more attention for the director than the stars at the outset and that’s the track record to date for Director Yin Tao, who one after another keeps directing hits. Starring The Glory of the Tang Dynasty in 2017, he’s also directed Under the Power, Love and Redemption, Ancient Love Poetry, and … Continue reading →
I love that C-stars seem to be having the most fun when it comes to fashion, the aiming higher and either it totally works or it doesn’t but less the comfortable safe zone. C-actor Gong Jun earlier this month was at a Vogue China event and he wore a recent runway Louis Vuitton custom suit that’s totally to die for … Continue reading →
Ok, this dating combo is so out of left field I’m still craning my neck to wonder where the heck it came from. Perhaps it’s not so surprising to fans of the two stars swept up together since they worked together before and only had complimentary things to say about each other during the promo of their movie. I’m talking … Continue reading →
We’re coming the end of the child actor Kim Kang Hoon era is my first reaction upon watching this latest preview for jTBC drama Reborn Rich. At 13 years old he’s about to be a teen and there goes the last decade where he basically played the younger version of every major actor male lead in a K-drama, the Yeo … Continue reading →
Well, with two big K-ent celeb weddings in this month along with Gong Hyo Jin–Kevin Oh followed by Kim Yuna–Go Woo Rim, it’s now time to settle into baby watch! It’s down to the final stretch for married A-listers Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, who tied the knot in March of 2022 followed by a honeymoon baby with arrival … Continue reading →
Like, who came up with this concept and staging for a drama promo pictorial? Bazaar Korea has the four leads of upcoming KBS drama Curtain Call gathered together just to look collectively miserable. There is brooding with a very drab grey/blue backdrop and a police procedural lineup vibe. Ha Ji Won manages to make her solo look couture and I … Continue reading →
It’s been a slow release for K-actress Gong Hyo Jin on her wedding to singer Kevin Oh last week in New York. They kept it private with friends and family but as public stars it was bound to come out to plenty of interested fans. This week Gong Hyo Jin shared herself the first direct shots of her as the … Continue reading →
I have very low expectations for this upcoming sageuk drama lol but that’s a great thing because it has nowhere to go but up. MBC is readying for the November release of The Forbidden Marriage, taking over the Sat-Sun time slot from Gold Spoon. Based on a webtoon, the drama tells of a Crown Prince still mourning the death of … Continue reading →
Fall is my favorite season and rom-coms my favorite genre so it has been such a sad disappointment the last two months to not have fall weather arrive yet and for the rom-com The Law Cafe (Love by Law). It starred two faves of mine Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young who both can act AND had shown great … Continue reading →
