I’ve been holding off on covering upcoming MBC Wed-Thurs drama Terius Behind Me because after all the leading lady changes it felt like the drama was just male lead So Ji Sub and a bunch of relative randos without much to write about. Both Lee Yoo Young and Yoo In Na passed on this drama before the leading lady role … Continue reading →
The conclusion of tvN time-travel and do-over drama Knowing Wife (Familiar Wife) frees up on Wed-Thurs again after being fairly addicted for the past eight weeks. I tried to watch on the days it aired but wasn’t so engrossed that I couldn’t miss a few same day airings and catch up on the weekends. It was much better than I … Continue reading →
With the conclusion of jTBC medical drama Life, the channel switches moods and gears to the colorful and playful with the K-drama remake of form-changing story The Beauty Inside. The drama reverses the movie set up with the male lead changing forms every day, this version has the female lead changing forms but only once a month and it lasts … Continue reading →
The march to fall 2018 continues as yet another brand house holds an event, this one is is Spanish designer brand Delpozo that I’m not that familiar with but seeing the outfits like very much. Actresses Lee Yo Won and Han Go Eun were in attendance along with idol-actress Son Na Eun from Apink who had the best look of … Continue reading →
This past Mon-Tues concluded the airing of SBS drama Thirty But Seventeen, one of the rare ones for me where I thoroughly enjoyed the drama despite having no inclination to watch because of the two leads. I’m still not sold on male lead Yang Se Jong overall but liked his role and performance for this drama, whereas Shin Hye Sun … Continue reading →
The broader consensus on K-drama Goblin was that the second lead couple was way more romantically gripping than the first leads as a couple, and now the second leads are coming back elevated to headline their own K-drama. Yoo In Na and Lee Dong Wook have been offered the leads and are as much confirmed per media reports for upcoming … Continue reading →
This is the ray of happy news I needed and such a sweet reminder that a decade may have flown by but a happy family has grown and flourished. Married K-acting couple Kwon Sang Woo and Son Tae Young are featured in an October Marie Claire Korea pictorial alongside their two adorable children, an older boy and a wee little … Continue reading →
I feel like such a grumpy pants after seeing the Korean stars walk the VIP red carpet at the movie premiere for thriller The Negotiation starring Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin. Both leads were doing some sort of stylized granny and grandpa wear and other than the soft blue color of Son Ye Jin’s dress nothing is working for … Continue reading →
Knowing is power and the K-drama Knowing Wife (Familiar Wife) took a fantasy trick of time-traveling to the past and alternate futures to give both leads Han Ji Min and Ji Sung‘s married couple characters a chance to be the best versions of themselves. It’s too cutesy and honestly both probably screwed others over in the alternate timelines but since … Continue reading →
The fully pre-produced K-drama Tale of the Gyeryong Goddess (English title Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter) is off to a visually pretty start by showcasing female lead Moon Chae Won‘s ability to believably turn into an immortal fairy stranded in the mortal Earthly realm. She plays a fairy that comes down to Earth and loses her fairy wings, in the … Continue reading →
This is such a sad news story and I feel compelled to write about it to give agency and acknowledgment. Former C-actress Miki Shum (Shen Li Jun) was a model turned rising young actress when she landed the young female lead role in All’s Well, Ends Well 2009 with Louis Koo before retiring to become a full time wife and mom … Continue reading →
K-actress Kim So Hyun is having a great start to the week in a one-two drama casting news punch. First she gets her two leading men in Netflix produced K-drama Love Alarm and now she gets her second drama lined up to follow. Kim So Hyun has been offered the female lead role in the remake of hit K-movie Miss … Continue reading →
Now this is a cameo that feels so perfect in casting and timing. K-actor Jo Jung Seok will be making a guest appearance in the final episode of tvN drama Knowing Wife (Familiar Wife) as a nod to both the screenwriter and the leading lady. He worked the the screenwriter before in Oh My Ghost while Han Ji Min guest … Continue reading →
