The male leads of the upcoming KBS drama remake of US legal show Suits definitely are all in in developing the onscreen bromance. It doesn’t hurt that younger lead Park Hyung Sik totally reminds me of a young Jang Dong Gun, so it’s a doppleganger-esque situation with two actors I like. The two leads are featured in the current edition … Continue reading →
K-actress Han Ye Seul has my prayers today for a full recovery from what should have been a routine surgery which unfortunately went awry. She posted on her SNS this weekend an update accompanied by a picture of her surgery scars from a procedure two weeks ago to remove a lipoma, which is a fat tumor under the skin. From … Continue reading →
My no longer a baby but still my boy Lee Seung Gi was what I could called “branded to fly” last week leaving Incheon airport headed to Taipei. He was head-to-tie wearing whatever conspicuous brands he was paid to hawk and lucking out that it was comfortable clothing for flying. I wouldn’t call it an unattractive outfit but it definitely … Continue reading →
Leave it to Yoo Seung Ho to look simultaneously like a cute little boy and a very accomplished young actor. It’s a testament to his depth of acting and life experience, with a full child actor resume and having completed his two years of active duty military service all before turning 23 years old. He’s now 24 years old (25 … Continue reading →
The vast majority of the time when K-drama stylists effectively deliver an awful hairstyle it’s on the female lead. Upcoming tvN romance About Time had me visually triggered a bit in the first teaser and now in the second teaser it’s clear why. Male lead Lee Sang Yoon has been saddled with an awful hairstyle, maybe the style itself isn’t … Continue reading →
Pretty is undeniable when it comes to K-actress Shin Se Kyung. She has that combination of innocent and sexy in a balance that Koreans seem to prize, too innocent gets lolita vibes and too sexy crosses into smutty. She’s been a busy bee the last two years with drama after drama but currently nothing is on her plate after finishing … Continue reading →
I can’t wait for Lawless Lawyer, it’s criminal how awesome this drama looks and each promo makes me salivate for more. It’s a smart gimmick to combine two popular genres, the gangster story and the legal thriller, and frankly this is very homespun that only K-dramas can pull off. The latest promo shows that the lawless lawyer title belongs not … Continue reading →
I have solid hopes for upcoming tvN Wed-Thur drama Why Secretary Kim, it’s adapted from a same name webtoon and I like both leads Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon. It’s got a cute sounding premise of a long time capable secretary to a spoiled but decent hearted chaebol heir and the gradual transformation of their working relationship into … Continue reading →
Hoo boy is this an awkward wedding to cover, and honestly both of them seen like total attention lovers so this may be just what they were aiming for. That, and the usual we’re so in love speech, of course. Former Miss Korea 1997 contestant turned aspiring actress Ham So Won is making what may be her biggest news moment … Continue reading →
I feel like tvN has a solid track record with the modern feel romance dramas, delivering hits that nicely capture the current tableau of what viewers think portrays love in this day and age. There’s a wistful longing air coupled with snappy dialogue, and of course the usual smart handsome man but now smart women who aren’t as shrewish as … Continue reading →
I can’t wait for the next SBS Mon-Tues drama Wok of Love (Greasy Melo), taking over the first week of May after Shall We Kiss First. It’s the return of Jang Hyuk to the fun role with a side of romance dished up with tasty Chinese cooking. He’s joined by leads Jung Ryeo Won and Junho as the trio hang … Continue reading →
Looks like two popular cable network drama actors are pairing up for another quirky drama romance. Lee Min Ki has been offered the male lead role in the upcoming jTBC drama remake of the Korean movie Beauty Inside. If he accepts he will be joining Seo Hyun Jin who has carved our a niche as the strong willed drama leading … Continue reading →
I love these out-of-the-blue and random potential drama pairings, it makes for the most entertaining posts to write and see reactions of. K-ent is reporting that Park Bo Gum and Suzy have been offered the leads in the upcoming fall 2018 K-drama People of Incheon Airport. This drama is penned by the screenwriter of Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim who also … Continue reading →
