I’m currently on J-dorama kick and boy does it feel like a much needed palate cleanser between my steady courses of K-dramas. That makes for a nice dovetail into the upcoming K-drama remake of one of my favorite J-doramas Rich Man, Poor Woman. The drama Rich Man will be airing on MBN and stars idol-actor Suho and K-actress Ha Yeon … Continue reading →
This is a cute enough teaser and honestly anything that remotely has a whiff of a rom-com will get my interest these days. Luckily I like both leads Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon in tvN drama Why Secretary Kim based on a popular webtoon. They teaser doesn’t reveal much about Park Min Young at all, even electing to … Continue reading →
This is such a weird accident to report on but my well wishes are on a full recovery. K-actress Kim Sa Rang was in Italy last week for a vacation and reportedly fell into an open manhole and broke her leg. She’s been rushed back to South Korea for treatment and word is that it’s a serious injury. Kim Sa … Continue reading →
I feel like Park Min Young is back on the upswing of her career, whether it’s from changing agencies or finding her comfort zone again there is now something more substantial with her onscreen performances. Her next drama Why Secretary Kim sounds like a cute frothy workplace romance, and she gets to act opposite currently in demand male lead Park … Continue reading →
Anything associated with singer-actress Suzy nowadays is bound to get outsized amount of attention. It hurts that there just aren’t that many Hallyu level stars anymore, and by that I mean extensive K-ent news coverage, popularity with audiences, and high profile projects. Suzy may or may not do K-drama People of Incheon Airport with Park Bo Gum but she’s still … Continue reading →
The visuals are going to be so off the charts for upcoming tvN drama Lawless Lawyer, and then double that for the smexy voices of said visual eye candy. Lee Jun Ki and Seo Ye Ji are giving me awesome double takes whenever I see promos of them for Lawless Lawyer, grinning at their onscreen chemistry and shivering at their … Continue reading →
Gosh darn it this is just the right kind of nostalgia feels I need right now. Script reading took place last week at the SBS studios for upcoming Wed-Thurs drama Handsome Guy and Jung Eum, which I’m sure SBS will saddle with a hilarious English title down the road. The leads Namgong Min and Hwang Jung Eum are reuniting 7 … Continue reading →
It’s fantastic news Tuesday as K-ent is reporting on something I’m so glad I’ve stuck with watching K-dramas long enough to see. K-actor Kim Jae Wook has finally FINALLY been offered a leading man role in a drama and goodness gracious has it taken ten years too long. He’s in talks to headline the upcoming supernatural/mystical/procedural drama Hand: The Guest, … Continue reading →
I’ll believe this when it happens but the optimism meter is back up on news this week that Yoon Eun Hye is considering an offer to star in an upcoming rom-com called Love Watch. The leading man is reportedly Chun Jung Myung which I am so fine with except he’s also attached to the K-remake of Zettai Kareshi called Rom-com … Continue reading →
K-actor Park Seo Joon looks so impeccably cast as the cheabol company president in upcoming drama Why Secretary Kim I actually needed to check that he hasn’t played this role before. Not only that, he typically plays the underdog or normal guy type of role rather than the rich and powerful so it’s good that he’s been playing against type … Continue reading →
A word of warning not to click to read further if you’re the easy to get quesy type, especially over wounds and injuries. K-actress Han Ye Seul posted another picture update of her recovering surgical wound and it’s even more gruesome and horrific than the first. The doctor who operated on her should be sued for straight up medical malpractice … Continue reading →
Well folks, we officially have the most anticipated K-drama of 2018 confirmed. Park Shin Hye will be joining Hyun Bin in the upcoming tvN fantasy romance weekend drama Memories of Alhambra. Filming starts in May with an extended location shoot in Spain, with the PD of Secret Forest and the screenwriter of W: Two Worlds, Nine: 9 Times Time Travel, … Continue reading →
K-actress Jung So Min has really grown into her real life fashion style in what I enviably would describe as warmcool. Yes those adjectives are opposites but she really does essay this chic cool vibe coupled with the warmth of the girl next door aura. It’s like she’s chic without trying too hard to be and that’s what makes it … Continue reading →
