I’m thoroughly enjoying tvN‘s Mon-Tues supernatural offering Let’s Fight Ghost, and it’s all thanks to leading lady Kim So Hyun. She’s so darn everything that is right – plenty of attitude but also equal parts adorable high school girl. The fact that Taecyeon is quite alright as the male lead and physically suitable for the role helps sell the set … Continue reading →
It’s a sweet bundle of joy for Taiwanese actress-director-producer Annie Yi, a bouncing baby daughter who celebrated the happy one month milestone this week. Annie went through a pregnancy at the advanced age of 46 years old with her second husband Chinese actor Qin Hao, with two getting married last year and deciding to add to the family which includes Annie’s … Continue reading →
It’s D-minus 2 days until Hallyu superstar Lee Min Ho finally makes his first appearance at KCON, following in the footsteps of Kim Soo Hyun‘s guest appearance last year and the prior year was Lee Seung Gi and Lee Seo Jin. There has been an unending stream of Lee Min Ho at the airport pictures, some more flattering than others, … Continue reading →
Actresses rarely get the accolade of aging beautifully, reserved for actors who grow older onscreen with dignity while the fresh-faced beauties are held up to impossible standards. With that said, leading lady Zhao Li Ying is absolutely aging beautifully and it’s all due to her shedding the super cutesy baby girl looks and flourishing into an angular more intense glamour. … Continue reading →
Much of the charm of Kang Sora lies in her relatability, she comes across as an every girl type who has made the most of her looks and acting ability in way that seems aspiring rather than annoying. Her movie and dramas roles have been a mixed bag in ratings and acclaim, pieced together as a learning and growing journey that … Continue reading →
I’ll always differentiate between B-PC and A-PC when it comes to my opinion of Wallace Huo. B-PC stands for before-Perfect Couple when he was best known to me as his Chinese Paladin 3 nickname of white tofu, inoffensively decent but rather bland. Then A-PC happened and I doubt there is anyone out there who doesn’t adore him to pieces after … Continue reading →
There’s been a whole lotta of kissing going on in prime time K-dramas, specifically in the three trendiest and buzzed about dramas on air right now. Doctors holding down the Mon-Tues slot had one terrible rainy kiss a few weeks ago that needs to be permanently deleted from audience memories, but made up for it with another kiss and comforting … Continue reading →
Looks like there is tons of juicy on-dits behind the scenes of the casting of tvN drama K2. Wish I could be a fly on the wall to discern what went on for singer-actress Yoona to be offered the leading lady role, reportedly turn it down, and a week later is considering it once again and then accepted. If the … Continue reading →
This week’s episode 5 of the surprisingly fantastic tvN ghostly drama Let’s Fight Ghost was about domestic child abuse. It totally made me cry since a mom’s biggest fear is any injury to her child, and in serendipitous timing of things comes news that K-actor Lee Jong Seok is partnering with popular Korean fashion designer Ja In Song for a … Continue reading →
The cycle of accusation to conclusion was shockingly fast for the latest K-star accused of sexual misbehavior, and in this case it was the outcome his fans was hoping for. Actor Lee Jin Wook has been officially cleared by the investigating Gangnam police department of rape accusations stemming from a sexual encounter with complaining victim A. Both sides admitted to … Continue reading →
France is widely perceived as the capital of romance and what better place for engaged Taiwanese actress-producer Ruby Lin to visit for wedding pictures. She was in Paris recently in July for a host of fashion events but her fiancee Wallace Huo wasn’t with her so that rules out wedding pictures with glittering Parisian backdrops. But Ruby did take plenty … Continue reading →
There are certain drama fails that hit too hard and reside too long with me, and one such epic fail is the 2011 K-drama Spy Myung Wol. Conceptually it should have worked but it was poorly written with very unpalatable characters and chemistry, leading to an onset meltdown by the female lead and a near disaster in airing for the … Continue reading →
Main leads are set for the next big jTBC drama to take over the Fri-Sat time slot from female empowerment and growth series Age of Youth. Entertainment industry drama Fantastic has inked veteran leading lady Kim Hyun Joo and leading man Joo Sang Wook in their first coupling and first jTBC drama. I hope it’s funny rather than too serious because … Continue reading →
