The big exodus really is coming at the end of this year and into 2016 as the huge group of male K-stars born in 1987 get ready to enlist in the army. I can’t even write all the names down because it’ll make me sniffle, there are so many of them. Until then, it’s time to say goodbye to a … Continue reading →
I don’t find it intrusive on the part of fans to want to see their favorite stars in important occasions, most especially getting married. The stars made their career and income on a public platform so it’s only natural for their private lives to arouse curiosity on the part of fans who supported the career. With that said, I also … Continue reading →
The ardent fans of Kill Me Heal Me are likely still disappointed that Ji Sung didn’t win the Drama Best Actor award at the 2015 Baeksang Art Awards, losing out to Lee Sung Min for Misaeng. It could have easily gone to him, or either of the two Punch boys Kim Rae Won or Jo Jae Hyun, so at the … Continue reading →
I was planning on checking out upcoming SBS Mon-Tues drama High Society (formerly Chaebol’s Daughter) no matter what. I loved the teaser promos with leads UEE and Sung Joon making out with youthful tenderness, not to mention the first drama previews looked interesting on the narrative front. UEE is a chaebol’s youngest daughter who goes undercover as a market clerk, hiding … Continue reading →
I continue to enjoy Producer more and more, it’s not quite love because ultimately the backstage look at the life of variety show producers in Korea just doesn’t have the innate hook for me. Compared to On Air which dealt with the internal cogs of drama making, that setting had more markers for me to connect with. On the upside, that … Continue reading →
If K-star Won Bin doesn’t want to act anymore, and it’s been five years since he’s done a movie and fifteen years since he’s done a drama, then he might have a second career as an expert to the stars on living a life completely outside the limelight. He’s so low key it’s nearly incomprehensible in this day and age of … Continue reading →
Upcoming SETTV Sunday night drama When I See You Again shockingly looks better than even my lowest of low expectations anticipated. Thanks to casting charisma such Mandy Wei as the female lead, even having dimpled cutie Liu Yi Hao as the male lead couldn’t get my hopes up very high. Which is why I’m the first to ready a potential … Continue reading →
The 2015 Baeksang Art Awards was held this week and the attendees and awards hand out was as expected so there wasn’t much to write about. Same goes with the fashion, no one really stood out in either extreme, just a lot of good looking people dressing fashionably appropriate for the occasion. I did love the 360 degree camera booth … Continue reading →
The wave of C-ent dating happy relationship news just keeps on chugging along. On the heels this week alone involving Yuan Hong dating Zhang Xin Yi, followed by Huang Xiaoming marrying Angelababy, good news must come in threes because the week end was capped off with China’s top movie actress Fan Bing Bing confirming that she is indeed dating rumored … Continue reading →
It’s no secret that filming in China can appear to move at super sonic speed at times, even then I’m still taken aback at how quickly projects go from commencement of filming to releasing teaser goodies for the audience. Filming started not two weeks ago for the C-movie Go Lala Go 2, the sequel to the hit rom-com Go Lala … Continue reading →
The cable dramas have been promoting better these days, even if the end quality is as hit-and-miss as the major network dramas. At least there is a bigger emphasis on packaging an overall mood of heady attraction when it comes the romance-based dramas. I still fan myself thinking back to the photo shoot Yoo Ah In and Kim Hee Ae did … Continue reading →
The train is leaving the station for upcoming K-drama Descendants of the Sun faster than Song Joong Ki changed out of his military fatigues. The cast gathered this week at KBS studios (featured prominently in currently airing KBS variety industry drama Producer) for the script reading, the arrival walk which normally isn’t covered by the media unless it involves a … Continue reading →
I can’t help getting my hopes up for upcoming tvN drama Oh My Ghost even if my better judgment tells me to simmer down. The drama came out of nowhere, since it wasn’t one of those rumored productions from months earlier, yet it quickly rocketed up my to-watch list thanks to the strength of the cast alone. Starring Jo Jung … Continue reading →
