Kyaaaaaa, Koala Epic Flail Alert! My perfect precious Moon Geun Young has just confirmed her onscreen return in the SBS weekend drama Cheongdamdong Alice, and her rumored co-star Park Shi Hoo has also confirmed. Double yay, and really, which guy would turn down the chance to work with Geun Young? Though truth be told, my dream ideal pairing would actually … Continue reading →
Good things come to those who wait, and I’ve been patiently waiting for Nice Guy to premiere therefore the first teaser is indeed as good as I had hoped. This drama looks dark and twisty, and starting off a teaser with Song Joong Ki purposely french kissing a girl is clearly going to catch my attention right off the bat. My … Continue reading →
Despite being exceedingly annoyed with the pointless and meandering episode 6 of Rich Man, Poor Woman, the lack of recapping isn’t because I’ve dropped this drama. I’m traveling so I really have no time, but I was hoping episode 7 would turn this train back on track. To my everlasting joy, it did! Oh hurray hallelujah, I love episode 7 … Continue reading →
Dayum, if SBS wanted to win douchebag television station of the year awards, it just vaulted to the lead today. SBS announced via a press release that, after its weekend drama Five Fingers premiered this past weekend to solid starting ratings, lead actress Eunjung will be leaving the drama and her role of Hong Da Mi will be recast. Her … Continue reading →
I’m still slowly coming off the high of Big, despite knowing that the story was mostly all expectations that weren’t met, ultimately what little that did pay off truly connected with me. I think of Da Ran and Kyung Joon somewhere falling in love again, and telling the world that it can take its objections and shove it. Gong Yoo … Continue reading →
I knew it was only a matter of time before my exceptional OTP of Ha Ji Won and Lee Seung Gi from The King 2 Hearts reunited to promote the drama, and lo and behold, they did a photoshoot for a Japanese magazine where I immediately flash back to Hang Ah and Jae Ha. I haven’t got around to rewatching … Continue reading →
Well this is going to be a big hot mess. Seriously, not even being optimistic or praying to the movie gods will this movie actually turned out to be quality cinematic achievement. It’ll probably make lots of money during the Summer season, give all the young actors exposure, and continue the trend of director Tsui Hark‘s descent into flashy mediocrity. … Continue reading →
There was once a K-drama on my top-10 list. I raved about it here and there, trilling that it was so amazing and wonderful and everyone must watch it. This was a long time ago, when I first started watching K-dramas. One weekend I was bored and decided to rewatch it, and to my utter shock and horror, I grew … Continue reading →
Now that the August new prime time weekday K-dramas have all premiered, and only one really strikes my fancy, it’s time for me to wholeheartedly look forward to Nice Guy which doesn’t premiere until September. If Arang and the Magistrate does well, NG may have an uphill battle to climb in a few weeks playing catch up, but I think … Continue reading →
Everyone knows my actors biases so whenever I can cram my faves together for any reason I go for it. I posted last week about the 12 K-actors selected for Vogue Korea’s 16th Anniversary edition, and each of the 12 actors were featured in one still each. Turns out the magazine actually had details spreads on each of the actors … Continue reading →
Kim Hyun Joong‘s upcoming K-drama City Conquest has been filming without being picked up by a network or given a time slot yet, but I don’t think it has much to worry about. I’m more concerned about how it’ll all turn out – the ideal would be to emulate City Hunter, and the worst case scenario would be to become … Continue reading →
It sounds like the magic of Miss Rose will soon be available to the non-native Chinese speakers who want to enjoy the cute quippiness of this drama. I’m so happy since so much of what makes this drama fun to watch is hearing Roy Qiu‘s unique cadence as he spit out his lines with this wry exasperation mixed with curiosity. … Continue reading →
I didn’t post about the Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung dating rumors back in April because both sides quickly denied it and I figured that if it was true they would reveal it when they were ready otherwise quietly break up and none would be the wiser. My gut instinct told me it was true since it was … Continue reading →
