Man of Honor isn’t so insane that it veers into cracktastic territory, yet it remains so outlandish that I’m pretty much treating it like a K-version of a Grimm Fairytale of sorts (but heaps more stupid). I wish it were better, or maybe far worse so that I can make fun of it more. Being just okay is where mediocrity … Continue reading →
There is a surprise surrounding the big spoiler shown in the video preview for episode 15 of Man of Honor. I won’t mention anything else other than it’s double our pleasure. Hee. Whenever this drama is silly and preposterous, which is most of the time, I stop whenever Young Kwang and Jae In show up together, which is where the … Continue reading →
The cast of Full House: Take 2 is currently filming in Japan, and yesterday the production held a press conference for the Japanese media. I really have nothing to say on the fashion aesthetic of this drama anymore. This is a case where a picture is worth a thousand words, or a thousand “what the bleeping bleep is going on?” … Continue reading →
You can call me a hater, or just annoyed my Zai Zai isn’t in this thing so I’m slapping on the pre-release critical eye, but I don’t think it’s a secret that I’m one of the biggest fans of Black & White the drama out there. So when every little tidbit I’ve seen about the upcoming B&W movie makes me … Continue reading →
I am officially slavering like a dog over a new bacon flavored bone for the upcoming jTBC cable drama Padam Padam: The Sound of His and Her Heartbeat. Forget my Jung Woo Sung being the lead, or cute with newfounded cheekbones Kim Bum playing an angel of sorts, or even suddenly full of attitude and strangely alluring Han Ji Min … Continue reading →
Hot on the heels of Kang Ji Hwan holding his Japanese fan meeting, Song Joong Ki was also there this past weekend holding a more intimate gathering with his fans in Tokyo. So intimate, he managed to shake hands with every single fan who attended. O__O So. Jealous. The Japanese fans get the best stuff, whilst we elsewhere suffer. Joong … Continue reading →
You all must watch this preview for Man of Honor episode 15. Forget everything else and just forward to the last 15 seconds. Trust me, you’ll thank me later. Seeing what In Woo’s dad has up to sleeve (instead of offing Jae In, he’ll use her existence to his advantage) might actually be the kicker this drama needs to ramp … Continue reading →
Nicky Wu and Wallace Huo just wrapped their upcoming period detective drama Xing Ming Shi Ye and the production has released an official preview and behind-the-scenes look at the drama. It’s got a dash of CSI, some bromance, and plenty of love triangle angst to go around considering I just saw Nicky crash Wallace’s character’s wedding and steal the bride … Continue reading →
What a difference a big mouth makes. Just days after rumors went fursploding about Rainie Yang and Sunny Wang heading to NYC together on the same flight, the flurry of eyewitness sightings and blabbermouths have pretty much confirmed they ARE in fact dating and went to the US together for Thanksgiving. They were spotted at Kansai airport awaiting their transit … Continue reading →
I make no excuses for raving about Material Queen when it first premiered, waxing in recap after recap about its merits both superficial (its breathtakingly gorgeous) and substantive (tightly plotted story with exhilarating character development). So when it hit a huge plot ditch in episodes 10-11, I took a break from recapping it hoping it would regain its footing and … Continue reading →
Kang Ji Hwan has been busy filming the upcoming movie Detective Cha with Sung Yuri, but this week he took time off to fly to Japan for his long-schedule fan meetings. He’s been laying low since finishing Lie to Me in early July, so I’m always happy to see new pictures of him. For his fan meeting, Ji Hwan prepared … Continue reading →
Episode 15 of Office Girls started off with a big hammer. The big hammer of cuuuuuute, which proceeded to bonk me over the head repeatedly until I was dizzy and disoriented. The entire episode was wonderful, light and sweet without being cloying or pointless, but the first scene between Zi Qi and Xing Ren set the stage perfectly for what’s … Continue reading →
The upcoming K-movie Wonderful Radio (also called Love On Air) has a confirmed February 2012 release date, and with it comes the first trailer for the cute rom-com starring Lee Min Jung and Lee Jung Jin. Watching the trailer, the movie looks like it could be sweet and entertaining, but I’m not quite feeling the hook yet. I saw a … Continue reading →
