I realize why actors and actresses continue to work for the wildly inconsistent Hong Sisters. It’s because viewers will always blame the Sisters for their writing when one of their dramas falls apart and even their failed works don’t stain the resume of any leads so it’s a good gamble to try on one of their creative projects for size. … Continue reading →
Well this is certainly very very over-the-top. Japanese actor and singer Taguchi Junnosuke, best known for being in boy band KAT-TUN, was arrested last week along with his actress girlfriend Komine Rena for possession of marijuana. He’s been in jail for the past week and was released today from custody and the media was waiting outside for him. Upon stepping … Continue reading →
There’s some real life drama in the land of the older marrieds and hopefully it’s something that will blow over. Veteran leading man Kim Seung Woo called the cops this week to report that his wife, leading lady Kim Nam Joo, was missing. She was located later at a hotel and her agency claims she was there with girlfriends and … Continue reading →
It’s the second week of TW-drama Before We Get Married and boy am I conflicted. On one hand I am addicted beyond belief but on the other neither lead is a “good” character that makes me sympathetic to their complicated emotions. All I care about is seeing leads Puff Guo and Jasper Liu give in to their wild sexual chemistry … Continue reading →
Now this is a cute way to reveal a baby, even if it’s also a tad coy. C-actress Liu Shi Shi shared the first picture of her newborn baby boy this week on her SNS and it was to cheer on the high school students about to take the vaunted college entrance exam. The picture she posted had his wee … Continue reading →
Woah baby, now this is something new for once I haven’t seen before in K-drama land. There is a remake of the 2007 dysfunctional romance K-drama Que Sera Sera in the works and the production is in talks with original leads Eric and Jung Yumi to star! That’s crazy, not only trying to remake QSS and recapture all the heat … Continue reading →
I think of this post as a public service, much like what motivated singer Jang Jae In to go public in the first place, but she probably was super angry and needed to vent as well. She was in the news two months ago in April after rumors of her dating her variety show costar singer Nam Tae Hyun. Their … Continue reading →

Politics, intrigue, and police procedural work seems to often go hand-in-hand with K-dramas in the thriller category. Another one is set for fall of 2019 on cable network OCN called Everyone’s Lies and will star Lee Min Ki and Lee Yoo Young. She was recently in the news with an alarming SNS post showing her mental wellbeing in a dark … Continue reading →
I’m not a fan of the belly showing pregnancy picture trend but it’s really par for the course nowadays. Especially with stars who can afford glitzy pictorials like the one TW-actress Ady An just shared with her fans this week. She’s 8-months pregnant and really all belly as she’s barely gained any weight anywhere else and remains as lithe and … Continue reading →
As long as the couple is happy together is all I care about when I read about marriages. J-ent is abuzz today with the surprise announcement that top actress 33-year old Aoi Yu married 42-year old funnyman Yamasato Ryota, and after just 2 months dating as the pair met back in April of 2019. The newlyweds held a press conference … Continue reading →
This is a two-fer surprise and both much appreciated to see.
