January 13th is my boy Lee Seung Gi‘s birthday, which makes the first birthday of a major Korean star in this new year 2016, and with it comes the reminder that it’s starting to go down to the wire for the end of the year 86ers and the huge batch of 87ers. Yoo Ah In, born in October of 86, … Continue reading →
Episode 11 of Marry Me or Not really got my goat up, but for all the right reasons because it shows how much I love this drama and love my precious OTP of Huan Huan and Justin. There are only four episodes left and the previews for episode 12 look insanely intense, and will likely need some anti-anxiety pills for … Continue reading →
Not one but two big Japanese stars are off the market at the same time with the surprising announcement that actress Kitagawa Keiko and her rocker boyfriend Daigo have tied the knot. The two held a joint press conference on Monday morning to announce their marriage, having registered it officially and plan to have a ceremony later with family and … Continue reading →
On my garsh does this drama look so silly cute! The first promo teaser picture is out of the four female leads in upcoming MBC drama One More Happy Ending, along with a surprise cameo by idol-actress Sandara Park. The four female leads played by Jang Nara, Yoo In Na, Yoo Da In, and Seo In Young, along with Sandara’s … Continue reading →
The last two years has seen some huge Chinese and Taiwanese celebrity weddings which means the pool is dwindled now in 2016 for big name star couples to get hitched. The media and fans attention remains focused the most on A-listers Fan Bing Bing and Li Chen, will perhaps Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse being equally anticipated though these two … Continue reading →
I’m always impressed at how hardworking and seemingly tireless some entertainers are. Case in point is Lee Jun Ki, other than his two year military service hiatus, he’s a nonstop star toggling both an acting and singing career, and doing so with an upbeat positive attitude. I feel like he just finished Scholar Who Walks the Night yet here he … Continue reading →
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but real life doesn’t always imitate fiction and sometimes even exceeds it in ways impossible to prepare for. 2016 was looking rosy for A-list Korean actress Ha Ji Won, but before she could even take the first steps into the new year with her entertainment career, her real life delivered a … Continue reading →
I’m seeing a more grounded and centered Jang Geun Seok in this return to K-ent, as both a singer in being the MC for idol competition show Produce 101 and as an actor who will soon be back on television in a K-drama. In a radio interview last week, Jang Geun Seok confirmed that he’s already selected his acting project … Continue reading →
A-list Korean movie star Kang Dong Won isn’t one of my faves, and in fact I’m probably in the minority where he does nothing for me, but he’s undoubtedly one of the most acclaimed actors of his age group. He’s also been known as quite the fashion plate and his most recent public forays to promote the K-movie A Violent … Continue reading →
It’s a testament to how much I’ve come to love the leads in Marry Me or Not that even ancillary obstacles get my goat up. I know Justin’s mother is not going to meddle in any way substantive, at least not if Justin can help it, and neither is the arrival of his law school junior in a cameo by … Continue reading →
Whenever there is a viewer poll on best looking K-movie star, A-list Korean actor Jung Woo Sung is invariably on it and in the top three ranking. He’s been the top visual in Korea for over twenty years ever since his Beat days, and being a rabid Jung Woo Sung fan (even if I don’t write about him all the time) … Continue reading →
It’s easy to see why fame is fleeting in an out of sight out of mind way because I’ve done forgot about upcoming MBC drama Goodbye Mr. Black. Once it was in the news all the time for casting updates, then later for which network was airing it back-and-forth, but once it was set on MBC and then got pushed … Continue reading →
Nothing looks as good as having a hottie doting fiancee by one side, and the star couple of Chen Xiao and Michelle Chen were definitely the major standout at the just held Weibo Awards in China. I feel like K-ent holds its awards at year end whereas C-ent holds it in January, before the lunar new year end. Weibo is … Continue reading →
