A concert in Taipei this past weekend was a who’s who gathering of so name big name Taiwanese celebrities onstage and offstage. Actress and singer Cyndi Wang held her first solo concert and in attendance was her actor boyfriend Yao Yuan Hao sitting first row, alongside her good friends Rainie Yang and Alien Huang, who hilariously remain good friends as … Continue reading →
The first weekend of January in the new year 2016 is almost at an end, which means new tvN Mon-Tues drama Cheese in the Trap will have its long awaited premiere on January 4th. I’ve only recently ratcheted my excitement up from curiosity to anticipation thanks to a very interesting long five minute preview. All the leads are showcased in … Continue reading →
I can’t believe Marry Me or Not is airing episode 10 this Sunday, it’s not just how fast time flies but how loath I am to let this perfect gem of a romance drama go soon. It’s so different from the first collaboration of Roy Qiu and Alice Ke in Office Girls that I never have the inkling to compare, … Continue reading →
Taiwan entertainment is on the smaller side so there is a good chance everyone ends up working with everyone else at some point. And repeating that if the collaboration works the first time around. Puff Guo appears to be back to her entertainment activities in full force and up next will be starring in the music video for singer-actor Alien … Continue reading →
Okay, at the risk of eating my own words come summer this year when the drama premieres, I’m willing to go out on a limb and say that I’m soooooo sold by the first teeny tiny teaser for upcoming KBS drama Arbitrarily Fond. Starring Kim Woo Bin and Suzy, I love him and like her, but am way more willing … Continue reading →

Color or black and white? If it’s Go Ara, the answer is both, and even a rucksack will work in showcasing her incredible feminine beauty. The ball drops on Times Square as a tradition of ringing in the new years, and for the last few years Korean tabloid Dispatch has had the tradition of breaking a surprising K-ent dating news on New Years Day. For 2016, this one is likely a doozy for K-pop fans but less so for K-drama viewers as neither are active … Continue reading →
The SBS 2015 Drama Awards wraps up the trio of year end big K-drama awards shows, and while network was the overall ratings winner for the year the selections for its awards were somewhat underwhelming. Joo Won took home the Daesang for his performance in Yongpal, which I actually liked and now makes me not blah about him, but it … Continue reading →
Just because KBS is the ratings pits all year doesn’t mean it can’t throw a fun awards party and reward the acting talent that has attempted to infuse some excitement and life into the network’s drama. Things were going swimmingly at the 2015 KBS Drama Awards until the biggest award of the night, whereby KBS manage to split the baby … Continue reading →
I see Descendants and I see some sun this time, lol! The first official preview is here for upcoming KBS Wed-Thurs drama Descendants of the Sun, written by famed screenwriter Kim Eun Seok and starring Song Joong Ki in his first drama since military discharge opposite Song Hye Kyo. The production was financed with tons of investor money and mostly filmed … Continue reading →
I’m fairly curious about next year period C-drama The Princess Weiyoung (Jin Xiu Wei Yang), based on a non-typical Candy female lead C-novel called The Bastard Daughter is Poisonous. The drama finished casting last week with Tang Yan as the titular female lead, reuniting with multi-drama male lead Luo Jin, but rounding our the cast with fresher faces in Vanness … Continue reading →
