This possible idol casting news isn’t all that surprising considering the drama in question comes from tvN‘s popular Answer Me series. SM Entertainment is reportedly auditioning D.O. from EXO (Do Kyung Soo) and Irene from Red Velvet for supporting roles in the main cast ensemble of upcoming Answer Me 1988. So far the drama appears to be having problems with casting … Continue reading →
It’s IU‘s turn to take a bow and show off her look for upcoming KBS drama Producer. I really like her and find her a much better actress than she seems to get credit for with drama fans. If judged by Dream High alone then she’s barely mediocre, serviceable without being all that memorable. She was better in You are … Continue reading →
Leave it to Jeon Ji Hyun to elevate even the most typical brand clothing ad campaign. She’s been sporting the shorter locks since she lopped off her trademark lustrous long waves months ago, a look that refreshes her goddess appeal and looks stunning on her. The clothes she’s modeling for the ladies wear brand Shes Miss is nothing to write … Continue reading →
I’m so over the Kill Me Heal Me vs. Hyde, Jekyll, Me fan wars, which thankfully died down now that one is considered a success while the other a failure after all was said and done. That doesn’t influence how I much I’m personally got some enjoyment out of both dramas, which skews towards liking each for different reasons and … Continue reading →
My love for The Girl Who Sees Smells continues to grow as this drama keeps getting better and better. Let it be said that this drama keeps my attention in all aspects when the lovely kiss in episode 8 isn’t even the highlight of this episode but is just one of many great narrative moments. Moo Gak’s stabbing at the end of episode … Continue reading →
There’s a new tax sheriff in town and their names are Yoona and Song Seung Heon. The pretty pair was just named honorary tax ambassadors for the Korean tax service for 2015, taking over the gig from last year’s duo of Ha Ji Won and Gong Yoo. Whenever I see each year’s picks for honorary tax ambassador, I just think … Continue reading →
I do love hearing of romantic overseas visits, but I’m wondering how the heck these two ever thought it could possibly be kept underwraps in this day and age of social media prying eyes. April 19th is K-actress Lee Da Hae‘s birthday, but oddly she chose to celebrate it the day before on April 18th and posted pictures of her … Continue reading →
It’s Kim Soo Hyun‘s turn to take a solo bow for upcoming KBS drama Producer, after the production released solo stills of Cha Tae Hyun and Gong Hyo Jin last week. So far everyone looks good, and by good I mean looking perfectly suited for their character. Kim Soo Hyun actually looks younger than his age for once, he’s 27 … Continue reading →
Now that the who in The Girl Who sees Smells has been revealed, the drama is free to dole out the hows and whys of whatever grand killing scheme is being cooked up by the villain. Poor Doctor Chun makes multiple appearances in this episode, confirming that he’s deader than dead and really the victim of being in the wrong … Continue reading →
I feel like if Rain and Kim Tae Hee started dating five years ago, before he left for the army, theirs would be the K-ent star couple to dwarf all other star couples before them. One is the top solo idol of his generation, with a side gig in acting, while the other is a natural beauty and brains Seoul … Continue reading →
Each installment in the School series of K-dramas is its own entity, with a different screenwriter, PD, and cast. That means the recent success of School 2013 can’t and won’t provide any clue as to the ultimate fate of upcoming Who Are You: School 2015. With Blood all wrapped up School 2015 takes over the KBS Mon-Tues time slot starting … Continue reading →
Kim Sun Ah! Joo Sang Wook! Come to Koala, my pretties! With the cast of Masked Prosecutor (English title The Man in the Mask) sitting down for the first script reading, the wait is on for another potential golden pairing to light up the small screens come June. I won’t jinx it but with the collective acting ability of the two … Continue reading →
Blood mercifully ended today, wrapping up a 20-episode run that was probably 20 episodes too long. This drama can best be described as the narrative crap equivalent of Hyde, Jekyll, Me but without good acting from at least one of the leads. Ji Jin Hee probably feels like he did the best he could for the paycheck, but I want … Continue reading →
