This casting news makes me laugh in both anticipation of the pretty and lulz factor in equal measure. MBC‘s upcoming vampire fantasy sageuk Scholar Who Walks the Night has offered the second male lead role to Changmin of DBSK. The original DBSK-5 is arguably one of the most talented and bestselling K-pop boybands of all time, but they have always … Continue reading →
Looks like The Girl Who Sees Smells will be piling on the sibling cuteness before ripping our hearts out. Since the drama has made it very clear from all plot and character synopsis that male lead Yoochun‘s character loses his little sister to a serial killer attack at the beginning of the drama, leading to his character being unable to … Continue reading →
The wait is starting to feel interminable for the arrival of Let’s Eat 2. This is one drama where I love the cast and love the story concept equally. Yoon Doo Joon reprises his character from the original Let’s Eat and moves to another city to embark on another foodie adventure with like-minded and less food obsessed folks. Seo Hyun … Continue reading →
Erm, is anyone else worried that Who Are You: School 2015 having casting troubles may portend bigger problems behind the scenes, beyond the general casting roulette that goes on with almost every single drama production whether the public hears about it or not. While recent hard-to-cast DID drama Kill Me Heal Me proved that nothing was wrong with the script, … Continue reading →
Welp, you win some and you lose some, I can’t always get my way when it comes to dramas casting my fave lovelies. The good news first – Kim Bum is returning to K-dramas come early summer as he joins the cast of upcoming tvN crime procedural Hidden Identity. It will be his first drama in two years, not since … Continue reading →
I’ve totally got my serious hat on to prepare myself for the upcoming 50-episode MBC sageuk Splendid Politics (Hwajung). I’m glad MBC stuck with the original title of Splendid Politics rather than the alternate Princess Jungmyung, based on the storyboard the drama appears to be focused on Cha Seung Won‘s anti-hero Gwanghaegun rise to power moreso than Lee Yeon Hee‘s Princess Jungmyung. The … Continue reading →
The most famous example in K-ent where the second lead wins the heart of the main lead in real life after losing out in the drama remains Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young. He was paired up with Eugene for Save the Last Dance for Me while she was the batshit crazy second female lead who couldn’t let him go. … Continue reading →
It’s crazy how popular Silent Separation (何以笙箫默 He Yi Sheng Xiao Mo) the story is lately all thanks to the hit C-drama adaptation with the English title of My Sunshine. I could do with never hearing the same name theme song, way overplayed during the drama, but the OTP only MVs that have popped up since the drama wrapped will … Continue reading →
Dispatch just earned its readership quota for the entire year with this globe trotting dating news break. Part of me thinks the two lovebirds in question wanted or didn’t care that they would be caught since this whole thing went down so high profile and high risk. Hallyu superstars Lee Min Ho and Suzy have just become the biggest confirmed … Continue reading →
When this casting news broke to kick start Monday, I did a double then a triple take to make sure I wasn’t misreading the title and it wasn’t an early jump start on April Fool’s Day. Nope, this isn’t a drama title mix-up or a joke, it appears something went down between MBC and SBS this weekend all for Rain. Looks … Continue reading →
Now this is an onscreen coupling I can totally see and want happening. Kang Sora and Seo Kang Joon have just been tapped as the pretty and charismatic dining spokescouple for Goobne Chicken to tout their fried chicken. The fried chicken resurgence seems to have finally died down after You From Another Star sent the always popular high calorie tasty … Continue reading →
I don’t write about Yoon Doo Joon much but he’s actually one of my fave idol-turned-actors. Whatever sauce went into picking the members of BEAST, so far the three I’ve seen act have all delivered, which includes Yoon Do Joon, Lee Ki Kwang, and Yong Jun Hyung. I skipped Do Joon’s last drama Let’s Eat but he held his own … Continue reading →
I’ll cut to the chase and skip the preamble since so much has already been said about this upcoming drama. Let’s get right to pondering the male actor who is currently in talks for the lead now that earlier discussed possibility Kim Woo Bin has passed on the project. Rain (aka Jung Ji Hoon) is in talks with the Hong … Continue reading →
