I had so many problems with season 1 of Alchemy of Souls that even without the female lead change I would be starting off already so mad at the mess left behind when the first season ended. So perhaps the change of female lead is a good thing, which effectively returns Naksu’s soul back to her own body which is … Continue reading →
Well hot diggity what great news to look forward to in 2023 in K-drama land! K-ent is reporting that a new jTBC drama Doctor Slump is courting Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik as the leads and both are likely to confirm. If so it will air in late fall of 2023, a year away but still great news … Continue reading →
Okay, those of you who are Ever Night fans this may just set your panties on fire. It kinda did for me and I didn’t even watch it haha. Goes to show both male leads Chen Fei Yu (Arthur Chen) and Dylan Wang are just on fire this year in terms of popularity and leveling up. Ah Se (nickname for … Continue reading →
I didn’t watch 2019 hit period C-drama Goodbye My Princess but it was impossible to miss the pictures and posts all featuring Peng Xiao Ran as the titular princess dressed all in red as a princess from the outer tribes swept up in an ill-fated romance. It was career making for her so it’s frustrating to see her new upcoming … Continue reading →
Normally I say expect the worse so one can hopefully get anything better than that and be happily surprised. But the promos for upcoming MBC sageuk drama The Forbidden Marriage have been just that bad that I’m happy none of my faves are in it. Half the problem is the leads though, with Kim Young Dae wasting an intriguing potential … Continue reading →
It’s celebration time for K-actress Song Hye Kyo who turned 41 years old last week on her November 22nd birthday. She posted pictures of what seems like a low key but lovely celebration complete with rose, a white character with ribbon frosting, and her beloved Bichon. She’s gearing up for the December 2022 premiere on Netflix of her next drama … Continue reading →
The Bulgari event in August was the first event I saw Zhao Lu Si at after the airing of Love Like the Galaxy and I thought she looked perfectly styled there, elegant and sleek with an updo and a low cut strapless white column gown with a tucked waist. She’s been brand ambassador for some time and last week it … Continue reading →
Those of you who haven’t started jTBC weekend drama Reborn Rich you have to START NOW! Like, don’t miss this one in a blue moon epic, a dram with sky rocketing ratings and phenomenal acting with a solidly written story. This Sunday’s episode 6 rose a teeny bit in ratings to 14.880% but the story for me went back on … Continue reading →
It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in the US but around the world it’s just the end of the month before the world starts to count down towards the end of the year once December starts. Married couple Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin were expecting their first child in early December but news broke this weekend that the baby came early … Continue reading →
Welp, grandpa better be ready to retire from acting because age and circumstances for a return are not on his side. K-actor O Yeong Su, best known as the grandpa/player 001 in Squid Game and recently won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor, has been charged by the Seoul authorities for sexual misconduct. It stems from a woman claiming … Continue reading →
Man, if it weren’t for Arthdal Chronicles as the outlier, and TBH everyone did think would be a huge hit, then I would believe that Song Joong Ki has the midas touch. Every drama other than AC where he has been a lead has been ratings hits and this new one Reborn Rich is setting new cable records. Episode 4 … Continue reading →
So I’m following Reborn Rich (The Chaebol’s Youngest Son) on jTBC weekends but it would be remiss not to mention that another cable drama the tvN weekend sageuk Under the Queen’s Umbrella rocketed up the ratings meter earlier and is still hitting new highs. Starring Kim Hye Soo as the titular queen momma protecting and educating her princely sons in … Continue reading →
This isn’t a huge story but does hit home that it’s really hard to be a celebrity and also deal with personal life stuff when you combine it. C-actress Zhang Jia Ni (Jenny Zhang) has been a supporting actress with over 20 dramas on her resume but got super famous after playing a concubine in Story of Yanxi Palace widely … Continue reading →
