While bromance has always been popular in movies and dramas, the doubling up of strong female leads and connections remains the outlier. Currently airing MBC drama Night Light features strong female personalities in Lee Yo Won and UEE but the drama has been low rated since its start and it’s hard to see if audiences embrace that set up. Next … Continue reading →
This sounds like a promising match up even if the entire premise is yet to be revealed. Park Shin Hye has reportedly been offered the female lead role for an early spring 2017 tvN drama, which if she accepts will be her first cable drama role in four years since 2013’s Flower Boy Next Door. That drama was a turning … Continue reading →

There has already been a hit Japanese movie adaptation of the same name with the English title The Liar and His Lover starring … Continue reading →
This has actually been a good year for dramas, starting off with a major hit in tvN‘s Answer Me 1988 and ending now with Goblin on the same network. In between there has been a handful of hits as well, and the biggest one goes to KBS for the smashing success of Descendants of the Sun. The drama is far … Continue reading →
It’s hard to witness the passage of time so viscerally in events that remind you of certain nostalgic past events. One such drama watching memory is the back-to-back period C-dramas in 2005 and 2006 starring Tangren Entertainment’s three treasures – Hu Ge, Liu Shi Shi, and Yuan Hong. They did The Young Warriors followed by a remake of Legend of the … Continue reading →
What’s coming up next for Goblin? With how fast this story is progressing I genuinely have no clue, Kim Eun Sook managed to condense 900 years into mere minutes and not make it feel slapdash, and by the end of the four episodes the Goblin already found his bride and resolved to have his sword pulled out to end his … Continue reading →
My patience has finally paid off when it comes to Legend of the Blue Sea, this week’s episodes 9 and 10 were the best from the drama yet and finally makes me connect and care about both leads. I got there last week with mermaid Shim Chung thanks to Jo Jung Seok’s perfect merman cameo, making her know that her … Continue reading →
It’s a double header for this Throwback Thursday nostalgia, both courtesy of my cutie Lee Jong Seok. It’s yet early for any more news on his upcoming 2017 K-drama While You Were Sleeping with Suzy, but he’s spending the down time this holiday season hanging out with friends and former costars. Lee Jong Seok hung out with his School 2013 … Continue reading →

Jeon Ji Hyun not only is the number 1 CF earner in South Korea, this year she set a new record taking in 14 billion won in endorsements … Continue reading →
What a bombshell dating news to end the 2016 year, if this happens to be the last dating news to come out of K-ent from now until year end. Media in South Korea is reporting that top actor Hyun Bin is dating actress Kang Sora, a pairing that is so random and out of nowhere not just in dating but … Continue reading →
All’s not well in Running Man land, and the ones to suffer the most from the fallout will likely be loyal fans of the long running popular variety show. K-ent is buzzing from 24-hours worth of show said/cast said news on the abrupt and shocking casting shakeup in RM. News broke first that Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo … Continue reading →
Wow, I’m rather impressed someone beat Song Joong Ki in this year’s vote for a drama category poll, but then again I don’t think Joong Ki minds in the least when it’s one of his best friends Park Bo Gum. It’s a one-two punch for these two, topping the Gallup Poll’s Top Actor/Actress poll of 2016. Park Bo Gum won … Continue reading →
This is so disconcerting to see visual proof that the casting of upcoming KBS Mon-Tues drama Hwarang may indeed be wholly unsuitable for the sageuk setting and a potential slam dunk if moved to the modern times. The drama premieres next week and will be a chance for the network to replace super low rated The Man Living in Our … Continue reading →
