A new K-drama started casting recently with the addition of not one but two male leads at the same time. Jung Il Woo and Ahn Jae Hyun are reportedly inked for upcoming romantic fantasy drama Cinderella and Four Knights, adapted from the Korean web novel of the same name. The drama is being produced by the production company behind You … Continue reading →
Every since Jolin Tsai released her beautiful ballad single and MV last December “We’re All Different, But the Same”, I’ve really started to see her in a new light. She’s been around for what feels like forever, and is undisputably Taiwan’s top female solo singer. She’s an idol and I don’t really follow that genre of music so it’s occasionally … Continue reading →
The switch has just flipped for me with respect to upcoming tvN Mon-Tues drama Cheese in the Trap. This drama got tons of early publicity thanks to the casting carousel, and it will soon validate whether the final cast was all suitably selected, but for now all eyes trained on tvN are on the Fri-Sat hit drama that is Answer … Continue reading →
The director of Marry Me or Not gets my unending thanks on a twofold level, one for filming this drama so beautifully it takes my breath away, and second for pushing his leads on the acting level to keep upping their performance and get out of their comfort zone. All of that shows up onscreen as perfection for the viewers, … Continue reading →
There are so many completed filming C-dramasthat aired his year in 2015. A bunch were front loaded into January and February around the lunar new year holiday vacation season but the one I’m looking forward to the most was tentatively scheduled to start the summer season off with a June airing, too bad that didn’t happen. The drama is called … Continue reading →
It’s crazy to think that Wallace Chung is in his forties and has been in the entertainment industry for over twenty years, because the man is that enviable combination of barely aging and getting better with time. 2015 was an excellent year for his career thanks to super hit C-drama My Sunshine (You Are My Sunshine), which was basically 99% … Continue reading →
Leave it to China’s most famous actress Fan Bing Bing to literally take my breath away (no joke, I stopped breathing for a second after gasping out loud). Her latest pictorial for Madame Figaro Chine is the epitome of starlet glamour for the modern era, evoking the classic glitz of the most famous movie stars of Hollywood past with the same … Continue reading →
The press conference for Yoo Seung Ho‘s upcoming SBS drama Remember wasn’t nearly as cute-inducing as his press conference last week for MBC cable drama Imaginary Cat. But then again, Imaginary Cat trotted out a real life “I could give a fug” squirming fat cat and deposited him in Seung Ho’s arms, so that’s a huge wall of awwwwwww to … Continue reading →
The 12th annual Esquire China Man of the Year awards took place in Beijing this week but it ended up being a lady star who stole the night. C-actress Alina Zhang (Zhang Ming) wowed in an exquisite eye-catching dress, accentuated with a soft updo and perfect makeup finished with ruby red lips. The dress is such a winner for me, … Continue reading →
The meteoric rise of Taiwan actor Mark Chao is probably second only to Kai Ko, and both really have to thank luck for a big part of it. Mark’s first acting role was the second male lead opposite Vic Zhou in TW-drama Black & White, which netted him a Golden Bell Best Actor award, and after that he did the … Continue reading →
The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) took place this week in Hong Kong, gathering together the popular Korean stars of music and acting. It’s basically Hallyu-palooza staged by Korean entertainment conglomerate CJ E&M. The lead up has been pretty hyped since one K-star after another was snapped at the airport leaving to attend the ceremony. The fashion was decent … Continue reading →
I excepted more pretty with the posters for SBS drama Remember, but one out of three ain’t bad and these days I’m grateful for the little bits of delivered quality. The official drama posters are out for Remember, and it might have been better if the network just released the one on top featuring leads Yoo Seung Ho and Park … Continue reading →
Clearly the feels were just laying dormant because all it took was one event attended together for everything to come whooshing back, even if it’s now a good decade later. Beijing was the stage for the Crossover Fashion Awards celebrating star trend leaders in high fashion, and the shining duo of the night was none other than former drama OTP and A-list … Continue reading →
