These pictures are simultaneously adorable and slightly awkward. I can’t describe it but the body language between the leads of Pleasantly Surprised (Love Myself or You) at the magazine fan signing event make me laugh at and with them. Puff Guo and her overgrown big boy of a costar Liu Yi Hao hit up SETTV headquarters for the fan signing … Continue reading →
It’s definitely drama stills release time for Records of a Night Watchman, and like clockwork the production is running down the list of leads to release new stills every day. First came Jung Il Woo in his princely garb as ghost-seeing Lee Rin, then leading lady Go Sung Hee as a free-spirited mountain girl Do Ha, and now it’s time … Continue reading →
Joseon Gunman delivers yet another stellar episode which provides further assurance that this drama indeed has the legs for the long haul. Yoon Kang finally comes face-to-face with his little sister Yeon Ha and the emotional pain of their mutual suffering really digs deep in this episode. I don’t just want Yoon Kang to save Yeon Ha because it’s his … Continue reading →
I’m grateful You’re All Surrounded is finally over and somewhat glad that I stuck around to recap til the end. There was nothing memorable about this drama but as an entertainment offering its sheer mediocrity in every aspect makes for a strange experience to sum up. I like it but that stems from liking the two male leads Lee Seung Gi … Continue reading →
Naturally all the attention has been on the male leads of Records of a Night Watchman since Jung Il Woo is a popular established actor while Yunho has a massive fanbase from his idol activities. Add to that the drama’s two female leads in Go Sung Hee and Seo Ye Ji are both relative newbies, it’s hard to hear folks … Continue reading →
The Chinese A-list actress goddesses are falling like flies this year in terms of getting hitched and off the market. Not that the average joe, or most actors for that matter, could really ever hope to land one of these lovely ladies. The biggest news so far has been Gao Yuan Yuan marrying her younger TW-actor boyfriend Mark Chao, but … Continue reading →
I seriously can’t get enough of Joseon Gunman. It’s like a package of bon bons I keep popping without even with hint of saturation. The story barrels ahead with Yoon Kang juggling so many things but doing a pretty good job if I may say so. He keeps up the Hanjo identity ruse by simply denying all the way to … Continue reading →
It’s pretty sad that a drama consisting of two of my favorite leading men in Cha Seung Won and Lee Seung Gi inspires in me only a litany of limp dick jokes for how this drama just can’t get it up. You’re All Surrounded episode 19 was more disappointment even when the entire drama has been a disappointment all along. … Continue reading →
I can’t believe the first teasers are out already for the tvN sageuk Three Musketeers and the drama is actually premiering next month in mid-August. For whatever reason this drama always felt rather far off but I guess it’s time to start gearing up for it. The first two teasers feature both male leads Lee Jin Wook and Jung Yong … Continue reading →
Joseon Guman is so lovely and fun to watch but doesn’t yet inspire in me feats of madness where I sit around twiddling my thumbs for the next fix. One reason is likely my confidence in the characters and in the scriptwriter. Having Yoon Kang and Soo In so sweetly fall in love and keep that feeling alive for the … Continue reading →
Okay, this is not bad at all and I gotta give credit all to Jung Il Woo. The latest official stills are out for the fantasy sageuk Records of a Night Watchman and compared to all previous offerings this is the least visual fail to come out of the production to date. Nevertheless, few purty Jung Il Woo pictures aren’t … Continue reading →
It’s still a bit too early to get the first official drama stills from the upcoming Discovery of Romance, but a sneak peek is available courtesy of the leads filming out and about in Seoul. If I lived there I would get no work done, I would just run around filming locations and try to ogle at the upcoming dramas … Continue reading →
The upcoming cable drama Misaeng: An Incomplete Life has been quietly assembling a pretty intriguing cast and firmed up the leads this past weekend with Im Shi Wan and Kang Sora. Coincidentally enough the two of them were both seconds leads in their previous dramas, him in Triangle and her in Dr. Stranger, with said dramas going head-to-head against each other … Continue reading →
