It’s safe to bet I’ll be spending time with Tomorrow With You, maybe not tomorrow but definitely in the future. Too bad I can’t time-travel like the male lead in the drama, then I could jump forward and watch the first episode now. Sadly we’ll all about to wait until 2017 to see this rom-com which is slated to follow … Continue reading →
It’ll be interesting to see if cable network tvN can hit ratings and buzz magic with yet another time-traveling drama so many years after Queen In Hyun’s Man and Nine: Nine Times Time Travel. Lead casting is done and production will soon be underway for tvN’s next time-travel themed drama Tomorrow With You, slated to air in January 2017 but … Continue reading →
Woah, now this is what I call a double whammy. Not only is casting a shocker but even the decision between two dramas comes as a surprise for me. Cable network tvN is dealing with what must be a decision of greats, namely that either seems promising and inking both would be the smart movie. The network is scheduling its … Continue reading →
I did a post awhile back on the school age before and after pictures of Korea’s male stars. It’s time for the ladies counterpart post and who better to top it off than the three renowned prettiest actresses in Korea. Kim Tae Hee, Jeon Ji Hyun, and Song Hyo Kyo all debuted at very young ages in the early Hallyu … Continue reading →
Sometimes stars in their ordinary lives seem just like one of us, and sometimes they still shine too brightly to pass for an average Joe or Jane. I’ve forgotten that Korean star couple Kim Woo Bin and Shin Mina are still dating, but it’s not because I purposely want to pretend they aren’t or are hoping they’ve broken up. They … Continue reading →
Just because KBS is the ratings pits all year doesn’t mean it can’t throw a fun awards party and reward the acting talent that has attempted to infuse some excitement and life into the network’s drama. Things were going swimmingly at the 2015 KBS Drama Awards until the biggest award of the night, whereby KBS manage to split the baby … Continue reading →
Va-va-va-voom doesn’t even come close to describing this recent Arena Homme pictorial featuring Shin Mina. It’s sultry and sexy with intentional visual second look inducement by having Shin Mina look nude via skin colored leotards. I’m not a fan of such overtly sexy staging but I think Arena is an edgy enough magazine that it pulls it off. It’s stuff … Continue reading →
Monday is the premiere is new love and weight loss rom-com Oh My Venus, taking over for Sassy Go Go on KBS Mon-Tues. While KBS continues to be the perennial ratings loser in that time slot, recently concluded MBC rom-com She Was Pretty did really good ratings over on Wed-Thurs, so perhaps that crew will migrate over to check out Oh … Continue reading →
I think I’m already fangirling chubby Shin Mina in upcoming KBS drama Oh My Venus. The real life super skinny actress looks sooooooo cute in a chubby suit persona, in no diss to folks who are slightly rounder in real life the way her character looks in the drama. She’s called fat at 77 kg (around 170 lbs) but I … Continue reading →
I feel like the discussion over visuals can be such a potential landmine. Unless the approach is tongue-in-cheek, any attempts to fatten up or uglify drama leads inevitably leads to some sort of comment backlash. I’ll try hard not to offend anyone when I discuss the recently released new stills from upcoming KBS drama Oh My Venus that show a … Continue reading →
I’m not getting a particularly memorable takeaway with any of the teasers and stills for upcoming KBS Mon-Tues drama Oh My Venus. I’m still happiest with the casting of leads So Ji Sub and Shin Mina along with the drama changed its title from the overly broad and can have way too many connotations depending on usage and tone Oh … Continue reading →
Sophisticated sexy is one of my favorite leading man looks and the production of upcoming KBS drama Oh My Venus totally nails it for So Ji Sub. This drama will be crawling out of the ratings pits left by its predecessor Sassy Go Go, which currently resides so far below MBC makjang Glamorous Temptation and SBS sageuk Six Flying Dragons. … Continue reading →
Leave it to born sexy So Ji Sub to always find a way to un-sexy himself thoroughly with the use of simple clothes. He does it so spectacularly he always manages to steal the spotlight for the wrong sartorial reasons, and in this case it’s at the script reading for upcoming KBS drama Oh My Venus. It feels a bit … Continue reading →
