Han Dynasty C-drama Love Like the Galaxy with Wu Lei and Zhao Lu Si is on Track to Be My Favorite Drama of 2022

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

It takes a village to raise a child so the saying goes, and similarly it takes an fully well-written story to deliver a true drama powerhouse. I’ve enjoyed and even loved dramas on the strength of the OTP alone but that rush of feeling evaporates after the drama is done, like consuming cotton candy. The dramas that stick with me … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I feel like Zhao Li Ying keeps getting period dramas with really bland English titles. The Story of Minglan, The Legend of Fei, The Story of Happiness, and now The Legend of Shen Li. The Chinese titles are all way cooler and for The Legend of Shen Li it’s called Yu Feng Xing (與鳳行 Accompanying the Phoenix) as she’s a … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

C-drama A Dream of Splendor was a HUGE hit when it aired a few months ago but the buzz really died down once it finished, perhaps signaling that the drama doesn’t have long legs. Doesn’t matter much as it delivered the viewership during its run and cemented Crystal Liu in her A-list status and Chen Xiao for still picking great … Continue reading →
