So with this confirmation the drama has vaulted to the top of my most excited for K-drama of 2024, yay! After earlier casting news, this week its confirmed that Jung Hae In and Jung So Min will be the leads of rom-com K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son. This will be Jung Hae In’s first rom-com drama since his debut ten years … Continue reading →
So one of the big fish free agents in K-ent has a new home and it’s a big land for Ace Factory. K-actor Lee Jong Seok signed with the agency this week joining Lee Joon Hyuk, Kim Ah Joong, Lee Shi Young, Yoo Jae Myung and others at the same home. I thought he would venture out and set up … Continue reading →
So I hope everyone has emerged from the celebratory and/or travel two week long fog that is Christmas through New Year and the daily routine has returned. Two new K-dramas in the Mon-Tues time slot premiered to kick off 2024 drama watching, with Marry My Husband on tvN and KBS dropping sageuk Love Song for Illusion. Marry My Husband with … Continue reading →
These new character posters are so hilariously awful but for some reason I’m kinda excited for this drama. The C-drama adaptation of the novel The Guide to Capturing a Black Lotus titled in Chinese Yong Ye Xing He released new stills of leads Ding Yu Xi and Yu Shu Xin along with second leads Zhu Xu Dan and Yang Shi … Continue reading →
So this the second least fan happy reunion of 2024 dramas, after Zhao Lu Si and Liu Yu Ning currently filming The Legend of Jewelry. Filming has commenced this week of period C-drama Flourished Peony starring Yang Zi and Li Xian in another formerly popular onscreen OTP reunion from Go Go Squid. One would think a successful outing a prior … Continue reading →
It’s a bad week to be Ro Woon but this too shall pass as it’s not the biggest faux pas. The actor attended and co-hosted the 2023 KBS Drama Awards and received criticism for both. For the hosting, he was dogged for being stuff and reading off the teleprompter when his other co-hosts were natural and conversational with this hosting. … Continue reading →
It’s interesting to see reception for a drama morph as it progresses and recently aired sci-fi romance C-drama Derailment has seen exactly that. Two weeks ago when the drama premiered it was received poorly thanks to female lead Liu Hao Cun’s bad real life reputation and also the confusing promos making the drama seem overwrought and weepy with a confusing … Continue reading →
Happy 2024 y’all! Next year will be a quarter century so I hope this year goes slower and I can enjoy it more. One reason time passes fast I feel is that we are always looking forward to something, like a new drama for example. In looking forward we may overlook the present. That said, I still can’t wait for … Continue reading →
So this is the latest and greatest on the airing date for The Prisoner of Beauty. I’m still on the buzz from marathoning the novel, it’s really addicting and the good outweighs the bad parts of it so I’m definitely wanting the drama to air as soon as possible. C-ent insiders are saying it’s now on deck at Tencent for … Continue reading →
So this is the kind of tea I love, harmless and hilarious if true and if not then the end result is a good drama rather than a bad so even better. Chen Fei Yu and Wang Ying Lu just started filming C-drama Offering Fish (Xian Yu) based on the popular novel Offering Salted Fish to Master and already the … Continue reading →
So this post is a bit late but it’s still a cute new look to share about. C-actress Zhao Lu Si has sported the same long locks for I think since her debut, it’s a look that works so why mess with it. Jeon Ji Hyun has basically one look for over twenty years and she’s still top visuals. Zhao … Continue reading →
