Filming has kicked off for period C-drama The Story of Mystics, which Chinese title went from Bai Zhe Ling 白泽令 to Da Meng Gui Li 大梦归离. The producer and director remains Guo Jing Ming following up from My Journey to You as he returns to period drama land. The leads are Hou Ming Hao and Chen Du Ling with second … Continue reading →
There is a certain synergy with Yoo Seung Ho picking a found family with a grandma drama as his next project. His debut work is the tearjerker The Way Home and now he’s signed on for the K-drama I’m Home opposite wonderful veteran grannie Na Moon Hee. She runs a family stationary store outside a high school and unexpectedly loses … Continue reading →
So I’ve heard this novel has been in talks for a C-drama adaptation for awhile and of course the laundry list of potential male and female leads have paraded in and out some just wishful thinking others actual talks with. From the casting chatter this week it appears the drama version of Offering Salted Fish to Master will actually get … Continue reading →
As a dog mom and a lover of rom-coms I’m feeling more and more excited for upcoming KBS drama A Good Day to be a Dog. Adapted from the same name webtoon, it’s got a silly premise but with the right leads can totally pull it off. The latest poster has leads Park Kyu Young and Cha Eun Woo in … Continue reading →
I feel old lol but also fairly okay with things that used to bother me, and one would be a star I loved just kinda dimming in career and projects. Turns out people can choose or even allow things to happen and hopefully being in a good spot at the end is all that matters. Former top actress Yoon Eun … Continue reading →
Yang Zi just finished filming the modern C-drama Story of Joy last week and her scheduled for this last quarter of the year will be much lighter. Her period drama next project Flourished Peony adapted from the same name novel will start filming at very end of the year with rumored male lead Chen Xing Xu which may change. Re-shoots … Continue reading →
Well, I don’t know whether to be happy or disappointed but at least it’s set in stone now. The leads for the upcoming Tang dynasty drama The Legend of Jewelry (Chinese title Pearl Curtain and Jade Curtain) are officially confirmed as Zhao Lu Si and Liu Yu Ning, both liuliang stars and a reunion from their secondary OTP turn in … Continue reading →
So the rumor is that Zhao Li Ying is definitely A-list but is capped by her not being theater trained. So called “Ke Ban” which means a graduate of an arts academy or acting major, hence she has not been able to break into the more prestigious C-movies. If that’s true what a shame because she’s got major talent and … Continue reading →
I found C-actress Dilraba Dilmurat one of the best dressed gown and hair whole package Asian stars so far to descend in Paris for the Fall 2023 fashion shows. She was invited by Christian Dior and really matched well with the brands couture and aura. But a new wrinkle came from her attendance after the invitation went public and it … Continue reading →
Social norms are different in various cultures and this is one landmine that two C-actresses stepped in themselves rather stupidly. Blackpink member Lisa has been all over the pop news this week for doing a guest show at the famed cabaret show Crazy Horse Paris, which does strip tease and burlesque dancing shows that are well known and accepted with … Continue reading →
This is a form of self-sabotage so bad it might set a new standard for self-absorbed cluelessness. I’m talking about C-actress Zhao Lu Si‘s fandom, and I really love this actress but her die-hard fandom is toxic and woefully self-congratulating. She finished filming xianxia drama The Last Immortal earlier this year and for the last 6 months has been waiting … Continue reading →
So there’s a big melon about C-actor Cheng Yi this week and his side has brushed it off as he flew to Paris for fashion shows and issued a denial. A well-known C-gossiper claimed that a two named popular actor, who has cheated before and has plenty of dirt, is the kept man of a rich older woman who was … Continue reading →
Climbing the fame ladder is a tricky thing and there are rarely leaps that go from unknown to top star in one jump. Most people climb it lock step and one moment is that weird in-between famous enough and not top level famous yet. Fashion is adjacent to acting so when a star gets famous enough there is usually fashion … Continue reading →
