Okay, now I can start whipping out my collection of Oh Gong and Bu Ja pictures from Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey). I can still remember writing about the amazing chemistry between Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young and wishing they were leads in a drama together. It’s taken 5 years but now they are confirmed for legal drama Love by Law based on the same name webtoon. Also confirmed to join them is talented actress Kim Seul Gi, who has plenty of name and face recognition but is still not frequently a solo female lead in dramas as consistently. I’m thrilled with this trio of leads and the legal plus romance mashup genre is something to look forward to especially with that recent spate of romance dramas all finished up.

I searched and there are no pictures of the actors and actresses attending the 2020 MBC Drama Awards with their face masks off so kudos for the production really sticking with proper protective gear and social distancing. Everyone even wore … Continue reading
MBC has been very weak in the Wed-Thurs slot for quite some time but the last drama Extraordinary You was one of the extraordinarily low rated ones despite the younger skewing cult fan base. This week comes People With Flaws … Continue reading
The premise of MBC drama People With Flaws is solely predicated on the acting and chemistry. It’s basically opposites attract and insert profession/situation/coincidence to bring them together. I don’t know how the mixture of Ahn Jae Hyun and Oh Yeon … Continue reading
A drama is the work of tens if not hundreds of people, with the high profile cast only the tip of the iceberg. I hope the recent tabloid glare on male lead Ahn Jae Hyun doesn’t negatively impact his upcoming … Continue reading

I’m really looking forward to upcoming tvN Fri-Sat drama Oh My Ghost with a low key anticipation, which is the best attitude to have these days when it comes to dramas mostly being a disappointment. I’m a little tired of … Continue reading
I can’t help getting my hopes up for upcoming tvN drama Oh My Ghost even if my better judgment tells me to simmer down. The drama came out of nowhere, since it wasn’t one of those rumored productions from months … Continue reading
There’s more casting news on the drama front and for ease of discussion I’ve combined it into one post even if it pertains to separate dramas. Most of the casting news is around upcoming SBS epic sageuk Six Dragons Flying which … Continue reading
I posted two weeks ago about the nominees for the 2014 APAN Star Awards and how some choices were pretty legit while others strangely unfathomable. Pretty much the usual when it comes to acting awards in Korean drama entertainment. Last … Continue reading
You would think with a string of disappointing Mon-Tues K-dramas from KBS I would be supremely reluctant to get excited about the upcoming Discovery of Love. It follows the disaster that was Lovers of Music (Trot Lovers), memorable only for … Continue reading
It’s such a treat to be dealt an unexpected surprise. There was a teaser for the upcoming KBS Mon-Tues drama Discovery of Love appended to the end of Monday’s episode of Lovers of Music (Trot Lovers) and it was the … Continue reading
